Another song ‘bout my home and I still love it. This new cat Juganot got a couple of other newcomers to jump on his track in support of the Rotten Manzana. He got Joell Ortiz, Tess, and (stupidest name in the game now) Uncle Murda for his “En Why Cee,” which is produced by Frequency, I think.

  • JO is a legit artist. His music is universal (ppl who are down and out and trying 2 succeed) to all races. He can't bring hip hop back alone. We must bring it back as a community. I love his music, it has truth and feeling to it (especially about what he feels about his father). THE BRICK was as good if not better than most of the major artist on the big labels. You know what they say, if it aint broke dont try 2 fix it. JO is that. Hope Dre can tap into more of his innermost thoughts and not make him 2 a "pop" artist. He got his buzz on the underground tip. I just hope when his aftermath album comes out, that the media will be concentrating on his music than his "beef" w/ Jermaine Dupree. U know that they will be looking 4 some dirt 2 dig up.

  • J.O. is official. but there is something still missing from the direction. dudes with deals still must face selling major units on these major labels. how many will run the streets like 'Illmatic' did? Or Reasonable Doubt? The sales of these albums would be considered a failure, when labels are looking to move at least 2 million copies sold. go back, if you can remember how hot Brand Nubian's first album was in the streets. J.O. is a today's great, but too much will be expected when he drops on Aftermath.

    The whole country will not get it. Nobody outside of a few care about real Hip-Hop. That won't change. if one makes a hot album and doesn't worry about sales, it's no problem. But J.O. will be monitored for sales.

    Joell is the 'King' in terms of how he hustled and got a deal. But he is not at the lyrical level of Pun. No one said it was the case, but Pun is Pun. And Joell is Joell. Pun could move 2 million just based on flavor.

    Good cause I thought I was the only one thinking he sounded like early FAT JOE, to me is more a Fat Joe than a Pun.

    He made a mistake goin to Aftermath tho, Dr Dre Is benching more people than the NY knicks.
    I'd doubt they'll release his album soon and if they do I don't think it will sell major units, he better off staying Indie and make music for real hiphop heads. It's a new day!

Its like he's trine to garner attention based on how he FEELS the rap game and hip hop should be, rather than the music he's actually going to make. I'll give it to em he rips a couple more verses, and has a killer album.

    But until then, I'm not watchin this movie, I already saw the script before. He had my attention up until he said the stuff about white sunglasses, and chicken wings at the beginning of his video. I'm sure he hooked a few fans, but he turned off the niggas who knew how that movie was going to play out.
