Damn the media loves these mofos. Calle 13 are approaching 50 Cent status…well at least magazine cover-wise. The Puerto Rocks are gracing this week’s Billboard Magazine, which is also their “Latin special.”

BTW go cop that new Residente o Visitante album today and while ya at it get Joell Ortiz’s The Brick also. Support mi gente it’s one of the ways the rest of the public know we here and ain’t going anywhere. Oh and more on my man JO later this week. Dude is hot like big chiles (fuck Chingo Bling).

I heard some Joel Ortiz track the other day and I could tell you he is the next coming of PUN. He sounds like Fat Joe/PUN and you know that will be a winning formula, plus dude is actually intelligent and has something to say. I like Wisin Y Yandel too but I can see why people like Calle 13. I think Calle 13 tries to be more alternative and wacky with their videos and lyrics. I don't know however if they should be on the cover of billboard or be representatives of reggaeton. I would have rather had someone from the list above.

Calle 13 atleast is innovative, all W&Y's songs are practically the same (and thats sayin something considering the fact reggaeton is basically always the same anyway!)And by the way, if your girlfriend doesnt know spanish, her opinion on who is better doesnt actually count for anything, cause shes basically just judging by how the beat sounds without taking into account ANY lyrics.
