Tru Life Targets: Jim Jones (Now), Prodigy (Then)

Yea, yea we all know about the Tru Life/Dip Set feud but we also remember the infamous Beef doc where Tru said he sonned Mobb Deep. If you don’t lemme refresh a lil’ bit.

Tru, a then unknown, landed Kool G. Rap and Prodigy on his track “When You’re A Thug.” The track ended up on a movie soundtrack or something like that. Don’t remember, point is P ended up doing Tru slimy and it was on. Tru’s associates ended up sticking up some dudes from Mobb’s clique in the studio where they were recording with DJ Muggs. Craziness. To refresh ya memories pop in your Beef DVD, I know I am. Anyway here’s what Tru says about that Mobb deep.

“That been squashed. If anybody that wanted to think that it was a publicity stunt then I would’ve came at Mobb Deep the same way. If I wanted to speed up my career and come at it with some beef shit then I would’ve did that with them,” says Tru. “When I had that Mobb Deep beef that’s around the time that 50 Centbecame so successful when he did his whole thing going at Ja Rule. So if I wanted to do that I could’ve followed what was hot and went and did that too and shitted on Mobb Deep with every song I did. But that’s not what I did. I sat down with the nigga, we ended up kicking it and squashing the shit – me and Prodigy. I handled it like a real nigga. We let bygones be bygones”

    The first song Tru Life did was with Prodigy and Kool G Rap and is one of the best songs I ever heard, it has non stop flow, and it came out on vinyl so he must of made some cake on that.

    Tru Life is one of those dudes that puts out singles instead of albums, however hes still comeing out with his frist album this year over at rocafella.

    Anyway, Dipset really does SUCK! I dont understand why people like that dipset shit, they cant even rap, they talk over a beat and they dont even flow with the percussion, so you cant even bobble your head when u listen to them, they totally SUCK, each one of them!!!

    The dudes who are Dipset fans are those dudes that think they gangsta and listen to what they think is cool and they know god damm well they dont even like it they just wanna look cool!!!
