Jay-Z's Reggaeton Mix

I know what y’all are thinking. Jay doesn’t know what do to with reggaeton, (ie: Hector El Father). But in this case all he did was lend his vocals to The Prezidents’ Jiggaton mixtape, Presidential Radio Vol. 1.

The Prezidents are comprised of producers from L.A. (Gutta), Phoenix (Ray Be Heard) and Jersey City (Matt Heiss). The three beat makers were the first winners of Rocwilder’s RocBattle.com site. They took Hov’s acapellas and placed them over exclusive reggaeton beats produced by them. Some cats that join Jigga on these mixtape is MIA’s Garcia and Roc La Familia‘s Hector ‘El Father.

    And I quote:

    Correction:

    Hector "El Father" is already signed to Jay-Z's label "Roc La Familia" under a distribution deal with Hector's own label "Goldstar Music.

    And the document continues on to say.

    "Critical Management and Marketing Group Chief Financial Officer, Loosh has this to say on the project, “The Jiggaton Mixtape is groundbreaking for both the Hip-Hop and Reggaeton genres.

    I'm quite sure that you will have future producers follow this blueprint to get their names established on the mixtape circuit and with the labels.

    What better way to be able to show labels you are capable to produce an album than this way.”

    Honestly, I thought the Hip-Hop & Reggaeton ground breaking moment was (and still is) when Daddy Yankee had Snoop Dogg featured on his track "Gangsta Zone" and had the video film in the ghettos of his hood, Puerto Rico.

    In closing, this mixtape is not worth listening to, nothing special about it.

    In my opinion, the producers (and the people backing it) are justing putting out a mixtape with what's hot right now, "Jay-Z & Reggaeton", and try to create some buzz for themselves.

    Now, let me provide you all with a real Reggaeton mixtape, ">Big Mato's Mixtape.

He was just saying that alot of producers don't or haven't used this format. A whole tape of Jay-Z accapellas over original reggaeton is hot and especially using up-n-coming artists....So get ya weight homie and start appreciating creative ideas.....

    Fist off, I am in no way shape or form affiliated with the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus or any other circus.

    Just had to let that be known for the record.

    Secondly, I will reiterate my comment and you can quote me on this, “The Pesidential Radio Vol. 1 Mixtape – Jiggaton” is nothing more than an “un-original” attempt for up and coming producers and artists to ride off the success of both Jay-Z and the Reggaeton genre”.

    I mean what’s next, Biggie-ton? Or 2 Pac-ton?

    Having an established artists vocals (old vocals by the way. I would have given you credit if they were new or never heard before vocals) over any beat or rhythm is not a major accomplishment or anything new.

    Club & Radio DJ’s (many of them producers) mix Hip-Hop vocals with Reggaeton beats every day (shout outs to L Boogs, Precise, Cream & Danny S).

    All I am asking as a listener (and in my opinion) is to be O-R-I-G-I-N-A-L, not just specifically to you but to all artists.

    I don’t hate sir; I just say it as it is.

    Also, you implied that I: “Should get my weight up and start appreciating creative ideas.....”

    Sir, I am weighing around 200 lbs last time I checked and creative, innovative ideas is what I am all about.
