Should've, Would've, Could've - Now Do You Think Obama Should Have Picked Hillary!?

So I just read this article at Politico.com that pretty much hits on what I have been saying for months.

Obama should have prolly picked Hillary. Of course, the good journalists over at Politico didn't see it like that, they just highlighted that a lot of white women are flocking to Palin right now, and noted that it prolly wouldn't have happened if Obama would've rolled with HRC.

I mean, I've been saying this for months.  I am not going to start harping about it again, but it is an interesting conversation that a lot of people are having. I mean, who would have been excited about Mitt Romney or Joe "The Sell Out" Lieberman!?

I know that A LOT of ya'll have been super against me in the past, but maybe you've changed your mind since Palin has blown up.

(I know that this blog post sort of refutes my post yesterday, but that's okay.  Apparently, the folks doing all this polling are not all on the same page.)

Check out the Politico article here.

You're not only beating a dead horse, you're mutilating the corpse. He didn't pick her, deal with it. Hillary supporters need to stop living in yesterday and decide whether their support for Hillary supersedes their desire to see this country go in a different direction than it has in the last eight years.

The Republicans are playing you all for fools. It's classic divide and conquer tactic. The Dems are so busy fighting amongst themselves in the Republican smokescreen that they miss what's most important during a landmark election.

The general public is falling for it like a first crush. Then they all wonder how Bush got re-elected to a second term.

Just because McCain made the hasty decision to pick Palin, doesn't mean anything. It's hurting his chances more than helping. Especially with all the dirt and controversey surrounding her. That doesn't mean Obama had to pick Hilary, although I'm sure she would've accepted. Besides, Obama is being advised by Clinton's people anyway. So he's still in the good. And, I don't care how the rig the polls to make MCain look good. he ain't going to win period.

The problem is not running mates. It's his white handlers belief that Obama should take the high road at every turn.

I learned one thing in grade school: The only way to stop a bully is to punch him until blood pours out his nose. Going to the teacher (Party Chairman) doesn't help. Telling your parents (Clintons) doesn't help. You have to attack lunacy with sheer fury.

With that said, he is losing in the polls for two reasons:

1. He thinks be nice will win over White racists, and it wont.

2. His campaign team believes he appear calm, carefully scripted and forgiving at all time (because he is "such the angry Black man" as Silverman said)

None of this works. He needs to call this guy a bigot, a coward and an agitator who would lead us towards facism. Because its the truth. Then if he won, he'd do it standing up (as opposed to kneeling) and if he lost, he'd the most dignified Manchurian Candidate thus far.

By the way, what progressive Black political analyst (if you would dare view yourself as such) refers Black people to You work for the CIA or something?

(SMH @ these overnight political enthusiasts.)

No, I don't think Obama should have picked Hillary. The Right Wing will take shameless shots at the competition regardless.

Had he gone with Hillary, they would have attacked the decision using Hillary's own scathing words against Obama from the Democratic Primary race.

It's the same reason why McCain couldn't pick Mitt Romney (with other reasons, as well...of course).

Nope, because it would have been the Clinton show starring Bill & Hillary and co staring Barack Obama.

Barack needs to win this fight on his own, and have his own identity.

Plus F those Clinton supporters voting for McCain because of Palin, like I've always said they are some of the most fickle, bitter, weak people I have EVER come across. I would have been pissed at Obama for pandering to them

Better to loose like a man than to win like a sucka punk biotch

Well, this is hype that will die down in the comings months. The issues at hand are stronger than a short term fling of personalities. My only wish is that Obama would pay Palin no mind and continue to stick with the issues.

WELL HE SHOULD HAVE PICKED HER. BUT HE DIDN'T AND SO HE HAS TO LIVE WITH THAT MISTAKE. CUZ I BELIEVE THAT IS WHAT WILL CAUSE HIM TO LOOSE THE ELECTION. WITH HER IT WAS A GUARANTEED WIN NOW HE HAS TO SETTLE FOR SECOND PLACE.

Obama does not need Hillary to win so get over your hopeless dreams. Actually I think Obama would of had a better chance of losing if he had choose Hillary as his running mate. HE DOESN'T NEED HER.

No, he should not have picked her. If he had then McCain would have picked someone else, probably Pawlenty. Obama's present problem with white voters is the same one that he would have had regardless of his choice of running mate, and that is the fact that he is a Black man running for President. Make no mistake, if Obama was white he'd now be 25 points ahead of McCain. McCain is now ahead in the polls because it's getting closer to "put up or shut up" time for white voters. Those same whites who earlier said that they'd vote for a Black man are now changing their minds. So in November they'll go into that booth and pull that lever for McCain and then come out and cite McCain's "experience" as their excuse for doing so. And McCain will win and the world will know - positively - what White America is still all about. And Black America will be disillusioned and radicalized beyond belief. And it will also mark the beginning of America's historical decline in the eyes of all as a unique player on the world stage. If only enough whites had been able to let go of their inbred racism, Obama's election would have been a monumental turning point in America's history - hailed the world over. As it is, however, after Obama's defeat White America will be seen by Black America (and by the rest of the world) as just another racist majority to be opposed, and, ultimately, defeated. At whatever cost. Sad but true. Have a nice day.
