I'm not going to lie to you guys. I missed most of the Republican National Convention yesterday. My wife and I had our first birthing class last night. I thought I was going to be super bored but the experience was pretty damn interesting. Well, at least it was more interesting than John McCain's speech. Sheezus!!! I rushed home from all that heavy breathing to watch a 72 year old man lay an egg on stage.
Of course, no one was really expecting McCain to bring the fireworks. He is mostly known for his straight talking presentations. But I did expect to hear a lot more specifics about his vision for the country. After all, he is going to have to differentiate himself from both George Bush and Barack Obama if he is going to win this election. And I know that some pundits are saying that McCain was trying to revive his maverick image, but I think he really failed at doing that too. He just seemed old and tired. I don't think most Americans want that kind of "change."
Again I said, this yesterday, but that's why I think the Republicans are brilliant for picking Sarah Palin. Let's face it, John McCain is old and boring...who wants to watch his boring ass night after night? Not me. Rove and the sorcerers on the right know that the media loves Barack Obama. After all, their ratings go through the roof whenever Young Barry turns on the mic. But Sarah Palin keeps it close. She's got a lot of popular appeal and has already won over a lot of her critics. I'm definitely not the first to say it, but she really is a conservative rock star.
Don't get me wrong, I am not a Republican. I am afraid of the Republican platform. I think they are war mongers who are willing to go pick a fight with the whole world. But I gotta give it to these old dudes props for their political strategy...it's unprecedented. They are winning in the media right now.

Fuck the Republicans. McLame can eat a dick. I saw some of the boring as shit. Biko, you ain't miss nothing my n*gga! I can't even sit through just 10 minutes listening to this dude. McLame does not sound believable, and had the fucking nerve to say "Change is coming"!!! WHAT!!! Fist off, I know that that is not the entirely Obama's slgoan, but you derived it from Barack, and 2nd McLame is not change. Everybody knows that you are more of the same. He voted on 90% of what Bush wanted and all he has to base on his campaign is Iraq and the World Trade Center. WTF!!! This old ass man had the nerve to show that World Trade Towers coming down, then showed our military fighting in Iraq. Ummmmmm Twin Towers, Irag, Twin Towers, Irag. Thos 2 should never ever be put together in the same sentence. Why in the hell did we invade Irag for they had nothing to do with the Twin Towers....Oh...that's right, Bush's greed for oil, and let his boy Cheney head of Haliburton retain like 95% of the contracts for the oil. Lets just get that str8. I have never trusted any politician whether democratic or republican. The only one that seemed believable was John F Kennedy, and that was before my time. But looking at all the past clips and videos, that man was sincere and even went to the hood when MLK JR was assassinated to give the news to all the black people.
Yeah Clo-Fresh, we can see that "MBA" in political science shining RIGHT through your post, LMAO @ having an "MBA" in political science...ain't NO WAY you can have a typo on something like that dawg...face it...hehe
You're right their strategy is working, and why is it working? The American people on a whole are not very intelligent. It is already evident in our education deficiencies compared to other nations. The Republicans have done nothing but use adjectives during their speeches without addressing the heart and meat of ANY issue. What they have done is get a beauty queen to take our eyes of of an ailing, old, frail, and 'changed' (for the worse) McCain. And speaking of change, they have also done what in the hip hop community amounts to biting. The Republicans have been biting Obama's catch phrase since he started sweeping the nation. They have no real plans to improve anything but the already fattened pockets of themselves and those closest to them, Bush calls them the 'elite' (really he does, check his private acceptance speech after the '04 election). Why it might work is because Americans are more consumed in consumerism than the REAL world around them. Most people would rather get a new gucci bag or designer pair of sneaks or jeans than give a fuck about how many trees are cut down, or oil pumped from our Mother the Earth. We worship the ancient cultures who worshipped earth, but we are not strong enough to be these people. Americans in general have been brainwashed by these elitists and it seems the puppetier will continue to pull our collective strings unless we wake up. Did you see any empty seats at the Obama Convention? Any protestors? Any Police Brutality? No? Then how can we even concieve of the possibility of a McCain/Bush 3rd term? Oh, thats right the electoral college, which should have been reformed after the 2000 election which highlighted its flaws. This whole system of democracy and politics was engineered by the elite and if the power slips from their grips, they change the rules in mid-game. Oh well right, go get you some new Forces and fruit loops.
Queens of Queens. I'm laughing cause I don't have to explain myself to you. It was a simple typo. Look at the my post that you commented on. Their are even typo's in the big block of information. I would love to challenge you to a debate on anything regarding political science, or anything in politics for that matter, for it does intertwinds but is also a branch of social science and is methodologically diverse, just in case you didn't know that. And i'm not even trying to make myself seem smarter of better then the next, Lord knows I have far to go, but trust me dawg, I type like 55 wpm and have no time to proof-read everything, cause as you know all of my posts are long as it is.
Put it like this the only way "John Insane In The Membrane McSane" could possibly win this election is if they play with the numbers just like they did the last two elections. And I believe if they do that there will be a riot, if they steal this election it will cause an uproar like no other. I didnt even understand why the Republicans are even a factor in this election anyways!! They have royally f**ked this country over. Anybody who is going through hard times or know someone who is going through hard times, due to the decisions that are made by in Washington shouldn't be voting for Republicans!!!!!
Yep, McCain was boring last night, no doubt. But, let's get something clear. The Republican Party now belongs to Sarah Palin. No matter what happens in November, the party belongs to Palin. And that's all that matters right now. And don't forget Louisiana gov Bob Gindle. McCain is the last of the right-wing blue bloods that will ever occupy the white house. Next up are true conservatives who'll make positive shit happen.
Now, on the other hand, we have the CHANGE and HOPE candidate. Where's the CHANGE in Barack's campaign when he picks Washington insider Joe Biden for his VP choice. Real CHANGE would have been Barack picking Schmillary Splinton for VP. I'm willing to bet anyone that in about three or four weeks, Biden will have some "emergency" that'll force him out of the VP stakes. And Splinton will slide right on into that slot. Trust me, the Obama campaign is sitting there second guessing this Biden pick. No spark. No excitement. No bump in the polls. No bump in fundraising.
If none of this happens and Barack loses this election, him not picking Schmillary will be the biggest political blunder of all times.
@ squa squashi
Obama actually raised 8 million dollars the day after Palin's speech.
He aint never gonna have trouble with money.
But I do wonder what would've happened if Barack would've picked hillary. they definitely wouldn't have pick palin. They prolly would have picked ridge or romney.
Don't know...we'll see.
@ Biko
You're right. Barack raised mucho monies after Palin's speech. Meaning, Palin not only energized the Repubs, she also energized Barack supporters. Who did Joe Biden energize? (((crickets)))
OBAMA baby....That's all I need to say
OBAMA Baby...That's All I Need To Say.
@OneFour
I will not take exception with everything you said, but when you said that there were no protesters at Obamas' convention you are just factually wrong. A lot of my personal friends were at both of the conventions, and if you failed to notice HUNDREDS of people were arrested at both conventions. At the RNC it was over 800 and at the DNC it was over 300. But furthermore - since the media has really stayed away from this story, which is typical - at the RNC, this was the first protest since 1999, that I can recall, where the National Guard was called into the streets. And the police in Denver clearly took part in police brutality; not as savagely as the Twin Cities, but they had their hands in dirt too. But the fact that the national guard was called is a very powerful statement in itself, and it has gone unnoticed on this blog, and all other mainstream media outlets.
