Is Real World and Vibe Alum Kevin Powell Ready to Take on Congress?

I use to personally question whether or not Powell had what it takes to be a US Congressman. After all, the dude has hella baggage, plus he sort of pissed people off when he unceremoniously dropped out of the race in 2006. (At least that's what I've heard from a couple of Democratic donors.) But after reading my home girl Chloe Hillard's recent article in the Village Voice I am starting to think he might actually be the real deal. I mean, he should keep at it even if he doesn't win in 2008. He seems to really be passionate about leading people and seems to be pretty damn honest too. But what do I know, I think Sarah Palin hit a home run last night!!

i find it funny how experience isn't important to the republicans anymore. cause they chose a person with a lot of baggage.

Exactly Biko..What the hell do you knw. Cause Palin speech didn't even get her to 2nd base. I you were caught up in how the loud roar of applause from the Republican crowd, who are constantly being told before the convention goes live to clap and make as much noise as they can because audience in the Democratic Convention sound like a concert then a simple convention. Don't get it twisted bruh! She really didn't say anything special or that really resonated with the republican voters. Even 20% of the republicans in office think McLame made a bad choice. Michelle Obama's speech ate Palin's speech like a lion on a wilderbeast.
Oh...and being that you are a simple blogger, I think that I know a little more than you on this issue. After all I did receive my MBA in Political Science

biko i know your smarter than to believe this was an awsome speech. her and mccain still fail to lay out their plans to move the country forward and not drive us deeper into the ground.
I don't judge speeches on whether they are smart or not...she didnt have one red fact in her entire speech. I also think it is the type of speech that is meant to separate us as americans. In all truth, I thought it was an ugly ugly speech
but palin is going to win over a lot of voters with her plain talk. I don't like the game...its just the way it's played.
at the end of the day I understand voters and how to get votes. It's how I keep money in my pocket when I am not blogging here.
Why do you think Biden got on TV today and said she gave a great speech? most americans dont vote on issues. they vote on character.

biko it was a good speech if you put it that way but it pissed me off cause it was full of lies. and f*ck that n*gga cowboy troy f*ckin sell out. i think pretty soon in the next two month the debates is going to seperate the boys from the men.

Biko should be informing us that Obama raised a record 10 million dollars in one day following Palin's "home run" If he thinks that speaking about Palin in such a manner is controversial then maybe he should try a new approach, an approach that's informative and educational, as well as original...Palin is a puppet...Biko call a spade a spade and stop playin bro.
