Say what you want about Sarah Palin, but she smashed last night. Yeah, I know that she was just reading off of a teleprompter and actually didn't write that speech, but gosh darn it she sure did hit it out of the park last night. Props to the McCain campaign for having enough guts to pick her. I know that I was mad skeptical just like everybody else. But let me be the first to say that Sarah Palin is no Dan Quayle. She's got way tooooo much swagger for us to compare her to that loser.
Of course, I don't think she will pull in a lot of die-hard Hillary supporters. I don't know if you've ever talked to a super HRC stan, but they are all about choice and universal health care. But I am not sure Palin has to win over every HRC voter, she needs to get some of them. And she will. Her story is going to resonate strongly with rural and undecided working class white voters who might have stayed away from the polls. After all, Rove and his boys picked Palin to shore up their base and prepare for future battles. They prolly were like "what the hell.. if we lose this year we will have Palin ready for 2012." Genius!!!
I mean come on, did you see that little girl lick her hand and comb her baby brothers hair!? That was classic. And did you see CNN's interview with Palin's family in Alaska!? They were just normal middle class people who probably used to watch Rosanne and Home Improvement. I mean somebody had to watch those shows, I sure didn't. I was too busy watching taped episodes of Rap CIty.
I personally think the Dems need to stop talking about her experience, continue to stay away from baby mama-gate and focus on John McCain, George Bush and this f*cked up economy. Because the more people try to attack Palin the stronger she'll get; she's sort of like Obi-Won Kanobi after Darth Vader light sabered him.
My predictions:
The Republicans will get a 5 point bounce from the convention.
Pennsylvania just got bluer...I think Palin is a little too back country for the skeptical voters in places like Scranton and Erie.
Ohio just got pinker. Palin is going to smash with all the left leaning evangelicals in that state

Man Please...She did alright for her first time being in the national spotlight. But Michelle Obama killed it, and she isn't even the VP nominee. Why do I have a feeling that more scandolous shit will surface about this chick. I mean she already cheated on her husband with one of his friends. Ouch!!! WTF does that say about her judgement. The RNC last night was awesome! Huckabee was the man of the night and gave such an endearing speech about what our party is all about!! He is an OUTSTANDING American!!
Palin did very well too. I'm glad she put up her dukes and got her footing. She's not just some political tactic, she's speaks to the heart of many American Mother's who still have good old fashioned values. I applaud this lady, she did an excellent job!!
