I bet most of you are so focused on the Olympics right now that you haven't been paying attention to politics. After all, the sorcerers at NBC have made Michael Phelps seem super interesting haven't they? I mean, I really can't wait to see if he is going to actually break Mark Spitz's record!!! (Can you imagine having that much bling to show off?) By all means enjoy your wine and circus, but don't forget that there is a Presidential campaign going on. Jon Voight hasn't.

If you haven't noticed, there is a lot of crazy shit popping off right now. Not only is Russia stomping on fools like Kimbo Slice, but Barack is starting to lose momentum.  This one is going to come down to the wire.

To top it off, Jon Voight, aka Angelina Jolie's formerly estranged father, is calling Obama a Marxist infidel.  I know that some of y'all don't know what Marxism is, so just go here.

Of course, John Voight is no political expert. He is just a fool with a script. But the fact that his recent op-ed is important to some folks actually scares me. (If you missed his op-ed go here).

I mean he is a pretty convincing dude, not to mention that his son in law is freaking Brad Pitt. I am sure a lot his stans were hecka convinced that Obama is off somewhere memorizing the Communist Manifesto. But rest assured Jon Voight stans, Obama is no socialist.  While he may be more left of center than John McCain, Obama is actually more of centrist. His rhetoric is somewhat radical, but his voting record and his stance on the economy are pretty damn conservative.

I am pretty convinced that there won't be a Marxist revolution any time soon. And if there is, it damn sure won't be inspired by Barack Obama.  At the end of the day the Matrix movies that Jon Voight starred in inspired more radical activism than Obama's campaign has.

people have a right not to like obama dang. we don't need a freakin editorial about it each time. leave that man alone. obama isn't god

Well said EsqMrs. I like him, but people do have that right not to and it not being blasted all over everywhere.
And yes, I have been into both the olympics and politics and that shooting in Ark. was done by yet another republican. That shooting up there in Mass, I think that's where it was recently was done by a republican who stated the reason he did it was because he didn't like the churches liberal views. The republicans are hitting hard, killer hard. They pay ignorant black niggas to disrupt a town hall meeting then they convince other radical republicans to go kill democrats. The one thing I have to say against Barak and all of the dems are, stop being pussies and get at them republicans. Hit them hard like they are doing us. Stop trying to be the good guys and put some dirt out there about them suckers. And Barak isn't losing momentum, Americans just have ADD. We have severe short attention spans.
And Jon Voigt can go eat a d*&^. When was the last time he was relevant?
HombreNegro, I am paying attention. I have two t.v.'s in my room and one is constantly on the news while the olympics is on the other one.

Obama is a Marxist. Or a socialist. Or a "social democrat". Whatever you want to call it, it's all really the same thing. Most Democrats are. He's a blatant socialist ideologue that pretends he is a moderate, the same way George Bush was a conservative ideologue pretending to be a "compassionate conservative" in 2000.

Actually you got it WAY mixed up. Obama's rhetoric is centrist, but his voting record is very liberal and partisan. On the other hand, McCain's rhetoric is very conservative but his voting record is very centrist. If you want a moderate realist that Obama is pretending to, instead of another impulsive ideologue like George W Bush was, than vote for McCain.

Its a chess game. To understand the motivation of your opponent, you have to be able to rationalize their objective. The only strategy that the GOP has, is to play off of the positive moves of the Democratic party. John Voight is another cat that feels like he has to speak for the opposition in the mind of his collective. Because Obama has kept his cool thus far, is the reason why the republican party has to resort to "nigga shit". With the cat shouting at the democratic rally (Which mirrors the Malcolm X outcome), to the republicans shooting up liberal affairs. Extremist are acting. What needs to be focused on is that we do not have the luxury to lose our patience. Poise and confidence guides direction. Knowing when to fight, and who to fight is the real battle. My opinion: Obama needs to continue to establish foreign relationships and attempt to resolve foreign policies that have been compromised. His leverage is his value to the free world. Like lady ESQ said above, we have ADD here in the states, so the next issue will overshadow the previous. Because we do not see Obama responding in defense to the pathetic attempts to re-characterize his agenda, doesn't exactly mean that there aren't actions and precautions being taken to address these issues. As for national concern, we have to be more smart and educate those who seem to lack in understanding that success is not overnight. Its difficult for people to look past what's in front of them. What we do need is leaders of all nationalities to take position in trying to re-establish order and direction. The crowd is as loud as the quietest person in the room. Voice your opinions. Create dialogue.

Knwldg123, if I were running for an office, you would definitely be my speech writer and head adviser. You used the words that I could not get out. That's what I was trying to get at. People are going to hate no matter what you do. If Barak ran his campaign like McCain or Hillary, then he'd be deemed the angry black guy. When he is trying to do what not only he knows is best for our country, but what he knows is best for the world, then he is deemed an appeaser. Look, we all know that no one is without fault or skeletons, but what you have to think is who's best to help run the country and lead us into a better economy, better education reform, and a better way of American living all together. Even if I wasn't a democrat, I would have to vote for Obama because you want someone in there with a fresh untainted head and view. Someone with new ideas that since for the last 200 hasn't really been working for us, will lead us BACK into the super power. We have to show the world that we are not just the Bush administration, we are a smart country that don't to depend on you (other countries) for shit, absolutely nothing. We have a huge country that hasn't been tapped into because of the inside dealings with other countries to cover certain things that we ourselves can. Solar and wind power, we have the midwest for that. We have such a plethora of resources here at home that we aren't using because the government is in the pockets of other countries. We need to get that old 1960's mentality back where we would stand up and fight for what was right and didn't mind going to jail for a cause and protesting government when we knew they were digging us in a hole. Government wouldn't be shit without the people, so we need to show them that we are their bosses, they are just figure heads. They represent us and speak for us, not the other way around.
And knwldg123, you referenced the wrong person, that was me who said Americans have ADD. But it's cool, not too concerned. You have a very good way of expressing what so many of us are not able to or are too scared of what our peepz will say about us if we 'Be Smart'. I love my country because I love myself and I love my family and I want to see them happy and successful and in order for that to happen, I will fight till the death to make sure I have my say in what my employees (the government) do.
