After one day of debauchery in Denver I've learned my lesson. I didn't know this when I got here, but apparently the altitude here gets you drunk faster. So I resisted the urge to get plastered last night and just drank water. Good thing too, I went to the "Rock The Vote" after party and ran into a bunch of cool people who I probably would've offended had I been sh*t faced.
Another good thing about not being drunk is that I got to really listen to Michelle Obama's speech. And boy did she smash it! Did you see all those people crying in the crowd?! It's like she tapped into her inner MLK or something. I am betting that the Dems got a 2 point bump from last night alone.
Of course the Dems are gonna need a lot more than Mrs. Obama if they are going to really capitalize on the convention. In fact, I guess the talking heads on CNN were mad that the Dems didn't go harder on McCain last night. I'm not sure if last night was the night to be tough though. It seems like it would be hard to top Teddy Kennedy and Mrs. Obama on the first day of the convention..but we'll see what's in store for tonight.
In other convention news, I heard reports that the Denver police locked up a few losers who were allegedly trying to kill Barack. I'm not sure how true that is, but there are hella cops here with big ol guns. Hopefully none of 'em will get overly excited and shoot my yellow a$$. I just got married and I am sure my wife wouldn't like that!!!

Round of applause for Michelle and her fine ass. But honestly, it's not hard for black folk to give eloquent speeches especially if you have great education such as Michelle and Obama. Black folk speak from the heart and with passion. We speak with feeling and tailor our messages and points that we try to get across a lot better then any other race on this earth. White folks always want to be politically correct and use words that are broad so that they can leave out the specifics on certain matters, which leaves the listener an still wondering to themselves "Well, i think she answered my question, or I think she touched on what we wanted to her. With black folks, there is no "I think". We alwasy give it to ya str8 no chase. We speak with passion and always try to put ourselves in other peoples shoew when addressing an audience in getting our point across. That's why MLK was great, Malcom X was great (even though the white people dont want to respect or give him his props because of what he stood for) Tupac was great, Biggie was great, Frederick Douglas, EB Dubois, I mean, do I really have to go on. Black people are the absolute best at giving speeches and talking, cause we are always constantly trying to get our points across, and always have to do it with passion to get the majority of the public to feel our pain or what we are going through. So, I for one was not surprised at Michelle last night. I knew damn well that she was going to nail it head on. Good Job gurl!!! She has always been down for the cause. FYI. It was Michelle who made Obama give her the pound at the ground breaking convention. If you look clearly and slow down the video while reading her lips she says "Come on, put it up"! He was skeptical for a split second but then said fuck it.
