I respect your religious views on the subject of gay marriage, but I believe that the government nor it's citizens have any authority to tell other adult individuals who they can and can't have relationships with. The first time America did this was in the colony of Virginia where they passed a law forbidding European indentured servants and African slaves from marrying. A gay marriage has no effect on individuals outside of the arrangment, and therefore it is not a harmful act to society. If you want to restore morality to the hood, have the government allow fathers to live wit their children: by allowing women to get government assistance despite the presence of a working male in the household. And it would help in some cases if they end the racist institution that is the War on Drugs by punishing drug users more than drug dealers, and lowering criminal penalties for carrying illegal handguns and drugs. And while they at it, how about they stop stripping peoples right to vote? Did you know people that in some states like New York, people that commit felonies in their lifetime NEVER can vote again? Who do you think that hurts when statistically more minorities are being locked up? And yes your right, it is mostly LIBERALS that have run places since FDR that are to blame for the racism in many places like the North East, like the West Coast, like the major cities.... At the same time I've lived in Atlanta, San Francisco and New York (although im from the UK) and I know that each one of these places has its fair share of people that dont like people with "Dark Skin". These are all concerts that I've been to (or will be going to) within a 4 week period. Even in the ATL i never had exposure to so much "real" live Hip Hop. Europe (as sad as it is to say) has a huge part to play in allowing older less commercial artists to still pay bills and allow newer (non conforming) hip hop acts to do the same....I know that has gone off subject but the US really needs to understand that there is an entire world east of NY and West of LA.
