r.i.p, this was actually a good dude and i was saddened by the news of his passing.

Yea, I liked dude myself, very neutral guy, never heard him talk too much negativity.

Mr. Russert will be greatly missed. Sunday mornings will never be the same. presidential debate for that matter will never be the same without him there mediating. It's such a shame the he passed away just before father's Day, as he penned books about his father. I for one will miss one of Buffalo's finest products.

yep, much respect to T. Russert. He was one of the only few folks who went hard at anyone who had the balls (and ovaries) to sit in front of him. Very fair interviewer.

he made sure to stay in the middle on the air and both sides of the aisle should appreciate that and he will be missed. i hope his wife and son make it back from italy safely and i want all those replublicans and democrats to show up for his memorial with no drama or pandering for votes.

It's a shame he's gone. I really enjoyed Meet the Press. Take care of your bodies people. Don't die of something that's preventable. Four out of the top ten medical conditions killing people in this country relate to cardiovascular health and diet.

He sided with Obama too much.He declared Obama the winner wayyyyy before he actually won.I think the government took him out.

He was my fave. Unbiased and asked hard-hitting questions, yet remained polite. I couldn't wait for Sundays to arrive, so I could watch my favorite show, Meet The Press. He motivated me, a 25 yr old black woman, to be more informed and active in our democracy.

I'm saddened he didn't even make it through the election.

He will be deeply missed, and I am deeply saddened by this tragic loss to our society. It is also a tragedy to the television world. All of the readers of SOHH and around the web want to thank Tim Russert for being one of the articulate reporters out there. Thank you and God took him, but he is still here with us.

he was the only interviewer on television who had no agenda. he was tough and fair. he will be missed.

Seemed like a nice guy and I was sad and shocked to see him go. Very good journalist.
