If the owner had used the reasoning that he felt Obama didn't have any idea of what was going because of his inexperience or some shit like that, that is one thing... but if it wasn't racist it was dangerously close when he said Obama looked like George. That being said given the slight chance that it in fact wasn't racist (not saying it was or wasn't but given the sliver of chance that it wasn't) they can't stop people from making and selling those shirts. People can protest all they want but if the shirts are outlawed that is stepping on the Bill of Rights. I don't think the owner selling the shirts is right but they shouldn't force him to stop solely because of the sliver of reasonable doubt that it wasn't racist (even if in reality is was).

I saw the tshirt. It is assuming. There are a couple different impressions it can make though. 1- oh how cute its a shirt for little kids endorsing obama. 2- only monkeys vote obama. Etcetera, etcetera.

I Love this Blog. I am an old WASP on my last flight before winter sets in. This reminds me of late night radio call in programs. The neat thing is you have to evaluate the points made and the arguments on their own merits. I can't just dismiss an entry because somebody might be positioning so as to fake me out. All the same, I wouldn't want to trade my complacent comfort for the passion and vitriol that enliven some.
