More Abuse By The Police. Watch These Three Dudes Get Stomped By The Cops

Posted on May 9, 2008 11:40 AM

I am not really sure about the back story, but I found this video over at byron crawford's blog over at byroncrawford.com This video is way worse than the Rodney King beating if you ask me. It's sort of like the scene from Matrix 2 when Agent Smith replicates himself to fight Neo. WOW!!!

Here is what Byron Crawford had to say:

Supposedly, the cops in Philly were pissed because one of their own was shot and killed the other day in a bank robbery. So far, the cops involved have just been reassigned. If they were to actually get away with this, which just seems unfathomable but who knows these days, I wonder if black people in Philadelphia would riot, thus proving The Game's theory that New York has gotten soft. As many black kids that turn up dead in Philly each weekend, we know they've got it in them.

It's time for police brutality to become an issue in the presidential election. Again, I have said before, but there needs to be more federal intervention and investigation into local police departments. This s@#t just ain't right.

  • Criminals still have rights. They didn't deserve to be treaten like animals, stomped, punched, and beaten. By all means, prosecute them for their crimes, but their crimes don't give Police the pass to beat the fuck outta them.

  • Its bigger then them beating up 3 men that shot people. These are people in authority abusing there power. This has drastic effects on all of us and we need to wake up and put a stop to this. Where can we draw the line. A Police officer never has the right to abuse his power and we shoulkd all be afraid that we are not standing up for our rights and fighting back. This is our country the peoples no the government, People wake up and use your mind.

  • Heres a little story: One time I got jumped by 6white boys, frat boys, in Santa Barbara, CA. The cops showed up, I was banged up I'll admit, 6on1 is not what i call a fair fight. Any how, jake shows up and they start asking me questions like I was the one who started the shit. I says to the cops,"do you know see that Im all banged up?" he says shut up or I'll arrest you. They didnt want to hear anything, they didnt even file the incident and they denied me medical help on the spot, they told me to get in a cab and go to the hospital myself. Thats why i be like FUCK THE POLiCE!

  • I'm sorry but its hard for me to sympathize with blaitant criminals who are content with mistreating and victimizing others. I also know that its not always criminals who are attacked by cops. But in this instance I have no sympathy for these cats. Crime in Philly is outta control like its 1988 and I am in no way coming to the defense of those who add to the senseless bullshit going on in those streets. Maybe if their mommas woulda beat em the cops wouldn't have had to.

As for the Game's ignorant theory about NY being soft for not rioting for Sean Bell. It only shows our growth and displays to the world that we are not out of control animals who can only communicate and be heard through self distructive acts of violence that only ruin our neighborhoods, businesses, and ways of life.

  • Even thought they might have just shot someone, the video show's that they pulled them over and thrrew them out the car and started A$$ kickin with no mercy. Then you had other units roll up and join in on the A$$ kickin party. There is a thin line between restraining the suspects, than just whooping there butts. This video shows that this was just a free for all.

  • Wow,that sure was some irresponsible blogging by Byron Crawford.

I sure wish these people promoting anarchy in our own neiborhoods would show the same outrage towards black on black crime.

It is a fact that a black person is over 90% more likely to get murdered by another black person rather than by a police officer.

I believe that not only is systemic racism a problem, but the latent devaluation of our own lives by US and the self hatred that we dislay to one another plays a roll on how others treat us also.

Bill Cosby held a stop the violence rally in Philadelphia that came and went without major attention from black people, the media,or your usual rabble rousers like Al Sharpton.

    And i understand that.

Because if our communitys ever got to a point where we had less crime, our people would recieve less police scrutiny, and Mr. Sharpton would have to go out of business.

Or at the very least,Sharpton's work load would be less than what it is now.

This is not the 50's and 60's folks.

    @Biko

With all do respect my man,if your looking for Barack Obama to tell you what you want to hear about police brutality during this election, judging by what his official opinion was about the Sean Bell case, you can forget about it.

And if Obama does tell you what you want to hear,he will be doing just that,TELLING YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR...

biko: I am not talking about obama doing anything....i am talking about us developing a platform that we hold folks accountable to

  • Hey everybody listen I am from Philly and I would like to say first off the cops here on some other sh*t. The beating of those individuals was unwarranted and totally against the "protect and serve" creedo. And ANOTHER THING how dare "My 2 Cents" come off with that self righteous nonsense. Yes criminals should be dealt with my the law, but police brutality toward "suspects" who i believe are innocent until proven guilty is unconstitutional. If your from NY then its obvious ur own smelling NY's air, do more research on my city before you make anoy more heinous comments.

  • Kountryboy says...
  • First, regardless if the cops saw these men shot 3 people or not, the beatings were undeserved. You arrest them and allow them to be punished lawfully. If I see someone shot a person does that give me the right to chase them down and beat them, hell nah I'd be arrested and locked up.
Second, Atheist do some more research and not half ass it....Yes blacks are more likely to have a crime committed against them by another black just like whites are most likely to be violated by a white and hispanic by a hispanic. That study has more to do with the racial make up of the environment you live in then the actual color of your skin. Most crimes are committed because of opportunity.

  • I understand how some are offended by my opinion but I stand by my statement. Its good that everybody is passionate about civil rights but we should be this passionate against unfit parenting, bad home training, miseducation, senseless vilence and down right stupidity. Unfortunate times like these seem to be the only times that any of us are ever concerned with civil rights and social activism. When will we realize and finally address the fact that no one respects us because we don't respect ourselves?
    ---

Still NO cop the right to abuse their power and play judge and jury.. but this is the REALITY of the world that we live in. So for us to continue ignoring our faults and to acting as if we are all a bunch of law abiding upright citizens who are just randomly being attacked is not going to help the cause. I don't mean to be offensive but this is just part of the truth, as I see it. Feel free to attack me as you see fit.

But let me see u be the persons that got shot, would u still be like " they don't deserve to be beat like that" , please! Let me answer that for u, u would be quoting Samuel L. in a time to kill. So this case is a hard one to judge.

  • Here are some facts...
n the Philadelphia case, officers who stopped the car Monday night believed its occupants had been involved in a triple shooting a few blocks away. They included members of a narcotics unit working the area and patrol officers called in response to the shooting.

The three suspects - Dwayne Dyches, Brian Hall and Pete Hopkins, all of Philadelphia - were each charged with attempted murder and related counts in connection with the shooting, according to court records.

    D. Scott Perrine, a lawyer representing the three suspects, has said his clients had nothing to do with the shooting, police had no reason to follow their car and the beating was unjustified.

Leomia Dyches complained to Sharpton on Thursday that she could not see her son when he was in the hospital.

Ramsey noted to the AP that he was in custody at the time, charged with attempted murder. All three suspects were treated at a hospital soon after the confrontation, Ramsey said, and they were being held Thursday in lieu of bail of $100,000 or more.

The commissioner pledged to send the department's preliminary investigation to the District Attorney's Office by next week. If prosecutors decline to file charges, he will deal with the officers involved internally, he said. ...
Innocent until proven guilty....not beaten until we feel vindicated...
