Farrakhan and the million man march was great

"Say what you want about Farrakhan...but he has a lot of game."

C'mon. This address deserved a lot more than that comment. Not only is it incomplete, it's an inaccurate description of what Farakkhan said. He conveyed insight, wisdom, and humility, all while presenting a reasonable argument to the Nation to support a candidate who, while expected by some in the black community to place a special emphasis on pandering to blacks is refusing to do so and projecting himself as the American candidate who wants to unite all Americans.

Perhaps something like the above would've been more appropriate.

It's amazing how easy it is to trick people into THINKING you're actually DOING something for them. Farrakhan speaks to a segment of our community that have a hard time recognizing the obvious. When he speaks it's as if an adult is speaking to a group of toddlers so deliberate is his speaking style. Just imagine going to a doctor because you know you're sick and all the doctor can tell you is what your affliction is without providing a cure. That doctor, despite telling the truth would amount to little more than a quack. The black community has an historic love affair with quacks of every nature and professional rabble rousers top the list.

This footage is old and prior to the current flap over Jeremiah Wright who happens to be a good friend of Farrakhan's. As much as I consider Farrakhan irrelevant he didn't say anything wrong about Obama. It's just that he and his kind have this clever way of infringing on someone else's popularity at the expense of that person. He's a political pariah much the way Sharpton is. If he really wants to help Obama he'd not rear his ugly head untill the election is over.

In our community there really is no better example of a MILITANT Uncle Tom than Louis Farrakhan.

The MILITANT Uncle Tom is the one who talks of revolution but isn't willing to spill his own blood. He pretends his life is in jeopardy to support his make believe importance. He spends his whole life talking about racial matters while never coming up with any solutions that actually work. He incites the less intelligent and weak to engage in actions he himself would NEVER personally partake in. He primes our people for quick annihilation with vile histrionics and encouraged confrontation.

Deandre Brunston is so typical of the type of people who get caught up in this FAUX MILITANT agenda put forth by these con men. Uneducated and detached from reality while totally unprepared to initiate step 2 after making step 1. The first thing he did when his bluff was called was toss whatever it was he had in his hand. First of all, I was speaking in general. I wasn't trying to protect the image of ANY figurehead. I don't get it??? What you are failing to realize is that if you are a walking contradiction, it will eventually affect me directly or indirectly one way or another. One of the problems is that nobody whats to take responsibility for their actions. We are all leaders to some degree, whether its to your children, your family, your class room or whatever and we all have young people who look up to us that are influenced by our actions - so in turn, your character can affect me & the image of black people. Rev Wright, I don't agree with everything he says, but a lot of shit is true that he did say. You guys seem to have read mad books, but don't seem to know where to direct your knowledge. I'm pretty much done with this discussion. I'm voting, supporting and endorsing Obama b/c hell he is a qualified black man and i never thought I would live the day to see a black man make it this far, second he wants to put an end to this fucking war and frankly I'd rather this country do something different with 70 billion dollars, third, he will take us one step closer to universal healthcare and hopefully invest more moeny toward seducation. As for Farrakan's skeleton's so be it, his messages are uplifting for most black people who need it, so I will let the man speak. as for me, i find my own truths. I never claim to be his follower, nor am i muslim therefore it is pointless for me to go back and fourth.
