More From Pastor Manning: "Hurricane Katrina Was A Blessing From God"

Posted on April 2, 2008 8:25 PM

I have had a couple Manning supporters post comments here over the last couple weeks. Tell your Pastor I challenge HIM to a debate. He wants to debate everyone, well tell him I will debate him any place anytime. Seems like Pastor Manning forgot that Jesus told folks that they should judge not unless they want to be judged.

  • A part of what dude is saying is true. Black folk are really incorporating what I call the Bill Cosby conversation of sel help. I totally disagree with the George Bush comment, but I agree 100% with the comments about black men. As a high school teacher I see this daily the issues with our young men women, and even parents. As a person who group up in the heart of the hip-hop generation (33 yrs old). Something has got to change. Man I'm liberal and ultra urban, but we are the laughing stock of everyone including ourselves. No one respects our views, or voice. I have students that are juniors who can't tell me what a reservation is. We gotta start being accountable for ourselves and our future, because people don't give a shit about us, and are appy to oblige our continuous fight with ourselves.

  • Manning is a paid hatchet man. He seems uneducated and not very bright. He's an embarrassment to all who stand with him and next to him.

  • The reasons why Obama is winning the nomination against Clinton and why he will win the general election against McCain are the following...

With McCain, we have someone who lives for wars and who is missing the heros of WW-II (see the reference to Churchill in one of McCain's publicity). We also have someone who didn't object to the idea of starting a war under false pretenses.

With Hillary Clinton, we have someone who is associated to too many scandals with her husband before, during and after the White House:

    - Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates
    - Most number of cabinet officials to come under criminal investigation
    - Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify
    - Most number of witnesses to die suddenly
    - First first lady to come under criminal investigation
    - Largest criminal plea agreement in an illegal campaign contribution case
    - First president to establish a legal defense fund.
    - First president to be held in contempt of court
    - Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions
    - Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions from abroad
    - First president disbarred from the US Supreme Court and a state court

Before Bill left office, he gave favors in exchange of money... For example, shortly after beeing pardonned by President Clinton, fugitive financier Marc Rich had his ex-wife giving $400 000 to the Clintons library foundation: Source:
    http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,98756,00.html

The Clinton foundation received recently a $31.3 million donation after Bill expressed enthusiastic support for the Kazakh leader's, undercuting both American foreign policy and sharp criticism of Kazakhstan's poor human rights: Source: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/31/us/politics/31donor.html

The reasons why Obama is winning against Clinton and why he will win against McCain are that voters are sick of people starting wars for false pretenses and they are sick of corrupted politicians (I include the Clintons and some of their pundits who have been allies in their past scandals).

    MESSAGE FROM THE CLINTON'S PASTOR

"The Reverend Jeremiah Wright is an outstanding church leader whom I have heard speak a number of times. He has served for decades as a profound voice for justice and inclusion in our society. He has been a vocal critic of the racism, sexism and homophobia which still tarnish the American dream. To evaluate his dynamic ministry on the basis of two or three sound bites does a grave injustice to Dr. Wright, the members of his congregation, and the African-American church which has been the spiritual refuge of a people that has suffered from discrimination, disadvantage, and violence. Dr. Wright, a member of an integrated denomination, has been an agent of racial reconciliation while proclaiming perceptions and truths uncomfortable for some white people to hear. Those of us who are white Americans would do well to listen carefully to Dr. Wright rather than to use a few of his quotes to polarize. This is a critical time in America's history as we seek to repent of our racism. No mat ter which candidates prevail, let us use this time to listen again to one another and not to distort one another's truth,"

    - Dean J. Snyder, Foundry United Methodist Church, March 19, 2008. Snyder is Hillary Clinton's pastor

  • I'm for Obama 110%, but we need to stop trashing the Clinton's. . .the vast majority of black people in America wouldn't DARE say a bad thing about Clinton a few years ago, but now it's not "cool" to say that.

You can be pro-Obama without being anti-Clinton. Bill Clinton reached out to our community and was the first and ONLY president to apologize for slavery. . .for that, I will not trash him. Also, they're using BLACK PEOPLE to trash Obama because they don't want to appear "racist", and believe me . . .N!GGA'S ARE STILL FOR SALE IN 2008.

  • Look if a man says the truth that we dont like to hear he is "ignorant". If it is a white dude he is "racist". Black folks really need to look in the mirror. But we dont we just celebrate how we sell cocaine and blast each other. dont believe me listen to Plies, Jeezy, Ross. No other race in the world kills as many of its own anywhere else in the world. But you cant tell niggas shit!!!! Just like the dude who wrote this blog.

  • Pastor Manning was on a radio talk show here in NY. He had a lot to say about Obama but was unable to state where he received his information from, unable to substantiate statements he was making. He made a lot of baseless comments and was uninformed. One of the questions asked of the good pastor was what institution did he receive his theology degree from? No answer was forthcoming and I still hear the crickets. I am still interested in finding out what insitution he received his degree from. If any one of his supporters could tell me I would appreciate it. It is hard for me to listen to someone speak who is so self-hating, and uninformed. He needs to check and recheck the facts. It seems Uncle Tom is still alive. What really upsets me is that black people continue to be sheep following charlatans. Anyone can pick up the title of Pastor and lead a congregation. The good Lord forbid you have a contrary opinion and disagree as you risk being damned. Wake up my people! It is really people like the good pastor that keeps us down. We have problems within out communities but that is nothing that good parenting and discipline cannot handle. I believe in self help and part and parcel of that self help is to stop listening to people like Pastor Manning and do what I know to be right.
