"Will You Ignorant N####S Please Shut The Hell Up!"

Posted on April 2, 2008 9:01 AM

I don't know about you, but when I first saw this Boondocks episode I thought Aaron Mcgruder smashed it. I often try to imagine what today's world would look like to a Malcolm or a Martin. I think Mcgruder's "Return of The King" just about sums it up.

It's a shame because I personally believe that one of the biggest reasons why our communities are so messed up (I mean other than the influx of crack and the racist War on Drugs) is because we lack leadership. I mean, how many of us really, really have strong mentors that we can look up to.

I truly believe that it's up to our generation to pass on a legacy to our children that is bigger than rap music, basketball, and drug dealing. Because I sure as hell don't won't my kids having to grow up in a world where death by gunfire is an accepted way to die. Maybe it's just me, but I think he have a whole lot of work to do!

By the way Aaron Mcgruder is a real dude. A couple years ago I was at a protest outside of the Beverly Center in Los Angeles (I think it was to support janitors or security guards) and I noticed that Mr. Mcgruder was stopped at the red light. I said, "Hey Brother Mcgruder why don't you come out and join us." Two minutes later he was in the picket line with us shouting "No Justice, No Peace!" Gangsta!!

  • great post...but you answered your own question....The reason we dont have great leaders was because of the influx of crack in the community. The drugs took away fathers and without father's and the lack of both parents whether by drugs and gang violents, it silently kill the unity that made us strong. So even the "leaders" we have now are either a dog and pony show or not recognized because of the envy it breeds.

  • After Malcolm X & MLK got smoked, the powers that be felt that we as a race would be a problem, especially with a strong leader, prime example, look what they did 2 the panthers. Those suckers knew what they were doing by putting guns & crack in the ghettoes of AmeriKKKa.

    Divide & Conquer

I'm glad that we have a brother like Aaron McGruder, someone who is not afraid 2 speak his mind, I love The Boondocks because of they way they point out the discrepancies of the Black race. I feel that if MLK were still alive, he probably would have japped like he did on the cartoon, & of course those glory stealin' boot lickin' ambulance chasers, Jesse & Al would remain yes men.

We would have great leaders if we started being parents to our kids instead of sperm donors. I don't expect any athelete, rapper, or actor to raise awareness or help my child become a better person because thats not their job. We fail to take responsiblity for our actions, then want to blame others when things don't go right. We need to stop having children that we can't and or have no desire to support. I'm beginning to think that people should have to apply for the rights to have children. How are you going to be a positive influence on your child when you can't even help them with their homework? I'm 28 with no kids because I know I'm not ready for the responsibility mean while there are 18 year olds with 2 and 3 kids, what part of the game is that? Be a parent to your kids full-time and you won't have to worry about what others say or do.

  • Great leadership starts at the parent level. It's up to the parent to instill healthy values in our children. It's not the easiest job in the world, but it remains our job as parents. Monitoring exposure to music, TV, etc. Overseeing homework and staying involved with the education systems. Kids are impressionable and tend to emulate what they see. Parents need to be the primary role models.

    Who does this blog?

Me and the "social club"(as some of the idiots call us over at sohhnyc)are a group of 5 to 10 conscience brothers who leave comments regularly with simular themes as this blog.

I'll urge them to stop by here more often.I assume we let our message be known over onthe other blogs because those blogs get more hits.

Unfortunatly negro nonsense gets more attention...

I know this is off topic but I wish to provoke thought in one crucial area in many peoples lives in hopes that it will indirectly provoke thought in other areas of there lives so they can better understand there position on the grand chessboard of life.

I'm only gonna focus on religion and belief systems that my people hold, which has something to do with everything in there life.

This will be my first installment of a series of information that I'm going to provide that will be aimed at poking holes in religions weak theory's.

As I have stated before, religion has its roots in ancient mythological stories and fiction.

In this installment I will focus on the theory of the great flood of noah that is written in the bible.

    Check it out.

The story of a Great Flood sent by a deity or deities to destroy civilization as an act of divine retribution is a widespread theme among many cultural myths. Though it is best known in modern times in the Western world through the Biblical story of Noah's Ark, it is also well known in other versions, such as stories of Matsya in the Hindu Puranas, Deucalion in Greek mythology and Utnapishtim in the Epic of Gilgamesh.

    Ancient sumer:

The earliest extant Flood myth is found on the fragmentary stone tablets of the Sumerian Eridu Genesis, datable by its script to the 17th century BC.The Sumerian myth tells how the god Enki warns Zi-ud-sura (meaning "he saw life," in reference to the gift of immortality given him by the gods), of the gods' decision to destroy mankind in a flood - the passage describing why the gods have decided this is lost. Enki instructs Ziusudra to build a large boat - the text describing the instructions is also lost. After a flood of seven days, Zi-ud-sura makes appropriate sacrifices and prostrations to Anu (sky-god) and Enlil (chief of the gods), and is given eternal life in Dilmun (the Sumerian garden of Eden) by Anu and Enlil.

    The ancient Akkadians(google Atrahasis Epic)
gives human overpopulation as the cause for the great flood. After 1200 years of human fertility, the god Enlil felt disturbed in his sleep due to the noise and ruckus caused by the growing population of mankind. He turned for help to the divine assembly who then sent a plague, then a drought, then a famine, and then saline soil, all in an attempt to reduce the numbers of mankind. All these were temporary fixes. 1200 years after each solution, the original problem returned. When the gods decided on a final solution, to send a flood. The god Enki, who had a moral objection to this solution, disclosed the plan to Atrahasis, who then built a survival vessel according to divinely given measurements. To prevent the other gods from bringing such another harsh calamity, Enki created new solutions in the form of social phenomena such as non-marrying women, barrenness, miscarriages and infant mortality, to help keep the population from growing out of control.

    ancient babylon:

In the Babylonian Epic of Gilgamesh, toward the end of the He who saw the deep version by Sin-liqe-unninni, there are references to the great flood (tablet 11). This was a late addition to the Gilgamesh cycle, largely paraphrased or copied verbatim from the Epic of Atrahasis (see above). The hero Gilgamesh, seeking immortality, searches out Utnapishtim (whose name is a direct translation into Akkadian of the Sumerian Zi-ud-sura) in Dilmun, a kind of paradise on earth. Utnapishtim tells how Ea (equivalent of the Sumerian Enki) warned him of the gods' plan to destroy all life through a great flood and instructed him to build a vessel in which he could save his family, his friends, and his wealth and cattle. After the Deluge the gods repented their action and made Utnapishtim immortal.

Does any of this stuff sound familiar to you christians, jews(and rastas)LoL!

Let's check out how the plagerized hebrew version of the story goes...

    The ancient hebrews:

The record in the book of Genesis says, "Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and was grieved in His heart. So the LORD said, 'I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky; for I am grieved that I have made them.God selects Noah who "found favor in the eyes of the LORD" and commands him to build an ark. God instructed the ark's construction to be three hundred cubits (450 feet/137 m) long, fifty cubits (75 feet/23 m) wide, and thirty cubits (45 feet/14 m) high. Then God commanded Noah to put one pair of unclean animals and seven pairs of clean animals. After Noah builds the ark, "all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened" by God. It rains for 40 days. "The water prevailed upon the earth one hundred and fifty days. The water recedes for 150 days. On the seventeenth day of the seventh month, the ark rests upon the mountains of Ararat. After 40 days on the mountain, Noah opens up the ark. "Then God spoke to Noah, saying, 'Go out of the ark, you and your wife and your sons and your sons' wives with you.Everyone and every animal exits the ark to fruitfully repopulate the Earth.

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...

    There's more...

I also got some info for you muslims and "god bodys" who are at each others and other religions throats(for ABSOLUTLY NOTHING)just stay tuned...

I disagree, I think the major problem with the black community is that too many of us are waiting on someone to lead us. The black community doesn't need a leader for various reasons. A major one being that the black community is not a homogenous group of ppl where one person or several ppl can represent us. I believe God has given us all(except the mentally disabled) the ability to lead ourselves. People have to decide for themselves that they are going to do right. Or maybe I just don't need anyone to lead me and the rest of you do. I do see how positive mentors are a benefit to young people but we have to look at reality and see that most aren't going to have that. But like I said above they still know right from wrong without someone telling them.

I look up to God, I strongly believe I was made in the image of God and I strive to act accordingly.

I don't need a black man to direct me or white man to let me.

  • @Atheist

And what purpose are these installments supposed to serve?

As a christian, I can tell you that they won't persuade an actual christian. They'll only serve to irritate ppl. I'm not saying that you shouldn't post them just that I don't think you'll be accomplishing whatever goal you have in mind. You'll only be taking away from the topic of discussion.
