This is an outrage. I am in shock and pissed right now. I feel for his fiance and his child. Cops are just too trigger happy. I mean, did they not realize that they were not being shot at after so many shots. How do u shoot someone that many times before you realize you are not being shot at. Justice was not served. It's just another case like all the others, only worse. One of them look crooked anyway but I won't say which one.

Justice? Where are the riots? Where are the supposive conscious black leaders, rappers, and figure heads who are supposed to represent our people and be our voices? Where's jay z where's mos def? Where's dead prez? Where talib? The list can go on and none of these people who have the outlet to be listenend to and spark change are doing anything. What is it gonna take? Cops can shoot and take our lives and get off and people are sittin back and not doing a thing? Wtf is going on? If this happenend in LA it would be chaos and now new york is silent? Why?? This was indeed a race issue. The police are trained to view people who fit a certain description, i.e. African American or Hispanic males age 16-30, as potential threats. Though two of the cops were black, they still have been trained to bare full arms when in a situation involving a African American or Hispanic male age 16-30. And while i can respect everyone's right to say what they want, if you feel this shooting was in anyway justified, you are truely ignorant and i hope you never have to know the pain of a loved one being taken with no justice or closure.

With the verdicts today[April 24, 2008] of the trial in NEW YORK CITY of police officers subsequently acquitted after a late-night shooting in front of a strip-club where a 'BLACK/HISPANIC' one SEAN BELL was shot to death because the police thought he and members of his bachelor-party [as he was the prospective groom] were armed AND the sentencing of WESLEY SNIPES, 'BLACK' MOVIE-ACTOR to the maximum sentence of three years in jail for 'failing to pay taxes and threatening with bodily harm federal officials/investigators' - CAN MINORITIES GET A 'FAIR TRIAL' IN THE UNITED STATES JUSTICE SYSTEM??? Is this perception of minorities( i.e., that is BLACKS, HISPANICS, GAYS, MOSLEMS etc.) a wholly ridiculous notion that they can not receive justice in AMERICA's court system???
