Will somebody tell me why she won't drop out of the race? Every expert is saying that she can't win the nomination. She definitely gets my respect for being a scrapper, but at some point she has to throw in the towel.
Of course, the other option is that she takes this all the way to the convention in August and splits the party in two by forcing Super Delegates to vote in the opposite way of their constituents. That would be the worst thing that every happened to the Democratic Party and for democracy....but I'll save those thoughts for another discussion. Hillary....DROP OUT!!!
I don't give her credit for being a fighter because she's fighting dirty. People are getting tired of her "scorched earth" theory of doing whatever it takes to win. This is getting old and its time for her to bow out gracefully.
And it doesn't help that some experts are saying that she still has a chance b/c it makes for good TV. This is wack b/c this does not help the voter.
Well of course she still can't win which is why PA couldn't have come at a better time. Its the 2nd oldest state in the country (Hillary owns the 65+ crowd) & we all knew she was gonna win weeks and months ago it just depended on by how much. Why would she drop out after a win?? That would be dumb.
Now, if she loses both Indiana & North Carolina on May 6th THEN she'll be in trouble & seriously asked to step aside because not only would it be almost impossible for her to get the nomination, but she's also having money problems & u can't run a campaign without cash.
http://www.fiyahmuzik.com
I would like ta see a clean race but i will bet anythang that hillary wins indiana...u heard it first...str8 from a nobody
Her candidacy is sohh filthy.
She can't win this. She won't win this. This "woman" needs to hire somebody on her team who can count and effectively handle her money.
Her campaign is only a preview as to how she will run the country. Unorganized, tax and waste, bombs threats without trying to settle differences amicably, scandal (spitzer, bill and any number of interns running trains in the lincoln bedroom) and more BS.
Both the Clintons are nuts but she does have the balls to suffer more defeat in the future despite the fact that I think she knows she can't win this.
I don't see Hillary conceding and suspect she will to fight to the end. Politcs is a dirty game and you enter prepared to sling mud when needed.
i still dont see why she is dragging this on. She is trying to claim she is ready on day 1. Look at it like this. Brett Favre's wife decides to take over his position since he retired. After all these years of being married to him im sure she knows the game of football to a tee. But you put them pads on her and she would get murked and the team wouldnt have a leader. How can Hilary run the country when her campaign is broke and she is losing to a newcomer to politics.
hillary cant win she just wants to make sure obama is so bloody he cant beat mccain and then hillary can run again in 2012 because if obama wins he will automatically be the the nominee in 2012.
she needs to get out. he's just tryin to make him look bad as possible so he won't be president because he damn sure will be the democratic nominee. she's a true hater she would rather Mccain win than obama. there isn't enough delegates left in the game to pass obama. and if these bullshit superdelegates take it from obama, that will be the end of the democratic party.
Well, mathematically, as far as ELECTED delagates go, she can't win. But trust me when I tell you this, behind the scenes, the SUPA DEL-O-GATES are watching Brotha Barack. And if he can't handle debates with Schmillary Sminton, how in the hell will he do against J-McCain? Look it, Brotha Barack, up until a few weeks ago, was being treated with kid gloves by the MEDIA. The gloves are off now with Brotha Barack.....as they should be with ANY person running for Pres-O-Dent. If he is the Democratic nominee, the Repubs will rip Brotha Barack to pieces.
But I personally can't wait for the Democratic convention. Schmillary and Brotha Barack will literally burn that bitch to the ground fighting for those Supa Del-O-Gates.....while at the same time DESTROY the Democratic Party.
Demoncrats cannibalizing each other...IT'S FAAAAANTASTIC!!!!!
Democrat or republican.... Ya'll are all the same... Imperialists and socialists... Thats all ya'll are duke... Idol worshippers... Whoever ya'll put in office is gonna destroy whats left of America.... Y'all are all pawns.... Biko, so are you because your a socialists and so was Hitler..
1
NC GOP bringing out a ad about Rev. Wright, are we just tired of that issue or what..., get something else please to talk about.
whoa!! its so anti hillary over here!! and niether of can win they wont have enough delegates to win at all... so it comes down to the super delegates! which they decide whos wins.. i know if they pick clinton and shes down by delegates yall will be hatin.. i am for hillary but dont mind if barrack wins..but yall r one minded when hillary does somethin bad yall r quick to jump on her ass but when barrack does something bad yall like o give him a chance give him a chance..And Barrack Wont even Debate!! tell me why?
note from biko: what has barack done bad?
She is winning the big states by scaring the older white voters. "Beware of the good talking NIGGA". Thats basically what shes saying. She IS NOT going to win and she should drop out definitely. By the time he is finally nominated he is going to worn the hell out. BUT HE IS STILL GOIGN TO WIN!!!
Please be more unbiased. It's sad to see this bias.
I roll with Obama, but thats not the point.
Super delegates have been implemented for a few reasons (that kind of make sense).
They have been created so they don't have to vote as they're supposed to.
That is the point, they can vote how they feel like, thats why they are super delegates and not pledged delegates.
One of the reasons is if the popular vote supports a candidate that us UNELECTABLE in the general election.
If super delegates think that the leading candidate will bomb in November, they will give their vote to the one who they think will have better chances in the general election.
SO if super delegates vote against the "peoples will" then it is their right. If anybody has a problem with that, they should be upset that these rules are for real in the first place.
Keep in mind, the Republicans dont have that at all, just the Democrats.
Please provide unbiased information, or call this the Obama blog.
Taking sides like this is unethical, considering the reality that the majority of the SOHH visitors aren't the sharpest blade in the drawer (to put it nicely).
Why don't you address the hypocrisy in ghetto blacks that were praising Clinton as the first black president, but once a brother against that family, the Clintons - once a favorite - turn into a devious racist couple.
Why don't you address the strange scenario where all blacks have to vote for Obama - right, like I owe him my vote! - but if Whites would think that way, permed bastard Sharpton would cry RACISM all the way.
This is the shit that makes everyday things more difficult for us. Thats what interests me and not some half assed political commentary that is biased to the core.
Would you ask Obama to quit if it would be the other way around?
note from biko: first off this is a blog. go to openleft.org, huffingtonpost.com, dailykos.com. the purpose of a blog is to be a little more biased.
Second, HRC is running a despicable campaign. It's borderline unethical and dishonest.
Third, no other candidate could run the same campaign as HRC. They would be bullied out of the race by Howard Dean and The Dem elite.
Fourth, I am not the only one saying she should drop out....damn near the whole progressive blogasphere and every other mainstream media outlet is saying the same thing.
Fifth, how dare you diss SOHH.com readers. There is some very powerful discussions going on here.
Fifth,
I don't see how the hell Clinton can claim that only she can win those big states when those big states are gonna vote Blue no matter what in the General Election. "Yeah, I won California!" Any damn Democrat can win California, it's California! Same goes for Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, etc etc. She didn't even win Texas delegate-wise (which is what counts) so she can't even claim that one.
She needs to drop out now, and those voting for her need to stop voting for the person and vote for the promise of progressive ideals being pushed through the White House. Dragging this out further will only guarantee more conservatism in the government. Not that I mind that but I know a lot of people out there do.
Enoch, you do realize that socialists and imperialists are on opposite sides of the spectrum, right? And Hitler wasn't a socialist, he was a tyrant. Step your history game up.
Be on the look out for republicans going at obamas throat in the next couple of days.
its going to be brutal!
they have ads running in north carolina about how radically left wing barrack is,and of course their bringing up reverend wright and replaying clips of his unpatriotic rants.
As expected mcain is denouncing these ads so it can look as if hes taking the high road, while hes definately benefiting from these attacks...
Hillary CANNOT Count!!!!
She was videotaped earlier today telling a crowd of people in either NC or IN that she is AHEAD in the popular vote. How the hell is that possible when Obama is still half a million votes ahead in the popular vote??
This woman needs to bow out...now. She is so full of sh!t that its affecting her brain. Save Hillary!!!
Vote Obama
Oh yeah, the presidency is nothing more than a puppet position used to lead dummies astray, and give the false hope and belief that this is a democracy and that the ordinary joe shmoe has power when he/she cast theyre wasted vote.
you dummies keep thinking that the rest of blacks are going to "come up" because the White power structure is backing barrack if you want.
i'll just laugh as you idiots emotionally argue back and forth about this scripted theatre called a "presidential race" as all of the common mans civil liberties are stripped away systematically and methodically while you people argue over dumb sh*t.
The reason why i put forth the idea of assimilation as a topic of discussion is because i see whats coming in the mere future, and people are gonna have to think about that old primal instinct:
survival
Peace!
Hillary Clinton is every thing that is wrong with politics. Hillary might be able to win with the help of the super delegates but she most definitely should not. I by no means agree with Obama's policies, and he truly is on the extremely liberal side of the political spectrum but he never really gave the impression of anything else. Hillary is truly running a despicable campaign. Hillary is a clear example of somebody that will do anything to win. Hillary is going to stay in the race because if she can't win the nomination she is going to bruise and bloody Obama's campaign to the point that he has no chance to win. Obama said that this is the one time hes going to run (even though I don't think that's true) and if he wins she won't get another chance to run. Her campaign isn't even the best reason not to vote for her, her policies are just awful. Her health care plan was shot down with her husband in office. She is a self-righteous idiot unfit to run the country. I don't even think Obama is a good choice, in fact I think McCain's the best candidate. The truth is the candidates are a not so good batch, and McCain is the best of the not-so-great pool to pick from. The good thing about McCain is he's a Republican and the congress will most definitely be Democratic, so the country won't be able to change too much for the worst (if that's how you feel about McCain) or even the better. Change needs to be gradual and if it is brought along too rapidly the consequences are bad. England's power shift to parliament came slow and it's still in place; France's revolution was chaotic and the process was violent and murderous.
biko, you do admit to the bias and I have no problem with it because you openly make it known, but I'm not sure you wouldn't defend Obama if he did something wrong (and I'm not saying he has or will).
I'd like to see Obama win for one reason and one reason alone. The image of the black male has suffered greatly with the hip hop generation. Whether he has power or not I'd rather the world see a black man as president of America than some tatoo'd, baggy pants, semi-illiterate, uber-thug. U;timately, none of these people will directly effect us much because they do as they're told but perception is POWERFUL. I'd rather be seen as a potential world leader than some rebellious ex-con trying to stick it to the "man." Watching blaxploitation movies is one thing but why do we have to live them. SMH.
@trademark
That is a stupid remark. Did you actually watch the debate? Did you hear the stupid questions that they were asking him?
Hillary was answering questions before they finished asking them. One of those idiots was actually on Bill Clintons campaign. Hillary knows that she can't win.
AS blacks we need to stand behind Obama just the way whites have always stood behind white candidates
instead of her, JOHN GAY ASS MACAINE SHOULD DROP OUT HIS RETARDED GEORGE BUSH WANNA BE ASS WILL: RUIN AMERICA EVEN MORE
at least Hilary is promising and will make america a lot better than right now altho Obama will make America a heaven
nyc4life says...
AS blacks we need to stand behind Obama just the way whites have always stood behind white candidates
^^^^^
Um.....Let's say Brotha Barack does become Pres-O-Dent. Will he be only Black America's Pres-O-Dent? When running for Pres-O-Dent, one has to be almost all things to all people. Meaning, a candidate must have certain qualities that appeal to the masses......including White folks....including Black folks.....and everyone in between.
nyc4life, are you new?
"note from biko: first off this is a blog. go to openleft.org, huffingtonpost.com, dailykos.com. the purpose of a blog is to be a little more biased."
True, however the blogs you mentioned are heavily on the radical left. Do you think this is a representative for Democrats? I don't think so. Attitudes like the radical garbage on dailykos will cost us the White House and McCain will laugh all the way to the bank.
"Second, HRC is running a despicable campaign. It's borderline unethical and dishonest."
Obama and McCain run shit campaigns as well. There is a word for it - 'politics'. It stands for 'Do whatever you need to do to please the voters, then rest in a nice chair for the next four years.'
"Third, no other candidate could run the same campaign as HRC. They would be bullied out of the race by Howard Dean and The Dem elite."
So what?
"Fourth, I am not the only one saying she should drop out...."
Which does not make it more valid. There was a time Germans loved Hitler, does that make it right? Thats the weakest argument by the way, to reference a so called mass vote.
"damn near the whole progressive blogasphere and every other mainstream media outlet is saying the same thing."
* see above
"Fifth, how dare you diss SOHH.com readers. There is some very powerful discussions going on here."
How dare I? Do you read the comments on this site? It's not much different than other big sites, but come on. You can't be serious. Hip Hop sites commentors are 75% uneducated losers. Tell me it ain't so.
Also nice job of avoiding my original questions. One more time:
If roles would be reversed - Clinton leading and Obama staying in - would you ask him to drop out?
How has Clinton turned into a racist after her husband was hailed as the first "black president"?
(on a side note, isn't it ironic that you call Clintons campaign unethical & DESPICABLE while you cherry pick in a highly unethical manner what you like out of the basket - thats despicable right there!)
Why is it okay to openly say that I vote for Obama because he is black but attack Clinton's advisor just because she pointed that out and got called a racist?
Wouldn't you cry racism if ANYBODY would say "If you're white, you got to vote for Hillary."
This is what I mean - hypocrisy is the worst and it discredits your views. You might be cool for the illiterate readers here who have no idea about the elction process to begin with, but in the real world you're just a blinded fool.
note from biko: read today's blog
She is going to lose. Here is why:
-1st mistake: Believing she was entitled to be the nominee instead of having to work for it. There goes your elitist attitude.
-2nd mistake: Not putting a muzzle over her husband's mouth. Things he has said have lost her quite a few thousand votes and not just in the black community.
-3rd mistake: underestimating her opponent(s). Self explanatory.
In conclusion, she has scared some people into voting for her and that's not right. she's an excellent liar though, really had them going with the sniper story, the second time she actually illustrated it in words. Awesome.
Save her. Vote Obama.
@biko stop lying:
In response to your question about if the scores read clinton ahead by 129 delegates and the math was against obama.
We wouldn't need to. Obama has the good sense and judgement to know when to pull out of the race. That same judgement is something Hillary lacks.
And so far, Obama has run a good campaign. Can't say the same for his opponent. If you believe otherwise, please inform me of what went wrong with it?
