I recently viewed the video clip of Pastor James David Manning trashing Barack Obama. It is needless to say that the Honorable Pastor Manning is off. I have worked & worshiped in the Harlem community for years, and Pastor Manning & Atlah Ministries has always been very odd.

As I viewed the video clip and listened to what was said, it was disturbing to hear Mr. Manning maligning Senator Obama and the Harlem community. But what was most infuriating was to seeing yet another pastor/preacher misrepresent Christianity and exploit the faith of other, while cloaking his own personal issues/aspiration in self righteous piety.

As I Listened to James David Manning individuals like Father Divine, Jim Jones, and David Koresh came to mind. You see, they too claimed to be the proverbial voice "Crying In The Wilderness", and they too had delusions of being a type of "Messiah" to the people.

I don't consider myself an expert, but I believe that Pastor James Manning & the Atlah Ministries has all the characteristics of yet another cult leader/movement. And with all that we are facing as a people/nation, another false prophet is something we can do without.

Ummm... Grow a brain you fools, the man is only speaking truth. Of course I know that all of you have been taught that speaking the truth should be against the law. He is only trying to help black people, dont you get it? Pay close attention to what he is saying. He is trying to bring the light of God and TRUTH into the black community, and also unto anyone willing to understand no matter what color they are. I think Rev Manning is a little overboard, but I have a Red Flag issue with Obama.
Obama came out in support of the white Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma in kicking out their former slave descendants. He said he didn't agree with the unenrollment but it was not the government business. Thats a red flag...Obama should have known before he made that comment, that these Freedmen where African slaves of the Cherokee who served under their harsh rule for nearly 300 years. The white cracker Cherokees (their are nearly no Indians in the tribe, just white folks) broke the US treaty of 1866 which promised these slaves and their descendants freedom and Cherokee citizenship. I can't support Obama now..., maybe he really does not understand the plight of descendants of slaves...African Americans

I can't help but think that anyone that tells the truth about obama will be considered bad. Sorry- but the white house is not the place to try out affirmative action. I must say, first of all, it is difficult to read some of these comments on many levels. I have to say though-Manning is accurate on quite a bit. He seems to be an angry man but if you actually LISTEN to what he is saying (not about trash and tits, etc.) he makes sense! If the Black community recognized that we are all equals, that no one alive in the US has ever been a slave, we are all humans and should all be held accountable and responsible for our actions in our lifetime then maybe things would be different all the way around. Our ancestors should not determine who we are today. If our ancestors were brought into slavery, it is in the past-simply the past. His comments on Affirmitive Action are true, the Black race needs to realize that they need to prove their worth just as any other race. You should not be 'given' a job simply because of the color of your skin, we all need to think like that. It should be because of your accomplishments and what you can offer to that particular job, which includes the office of the President of the United States. We all want change, but is Obama really the one who can do it? What experience does he have to offer to this great nation? Just because his skin color is dark does not qualify him to be our next president. If Pastor Manning were to have a bit less anger in his voice, stop the name calling and actually speak to us, he would have a far greater following and perhaps convince the Black communities that most of what he says makes sense. He should probably leave God out of his politics though....
