Hillary's Back on That Bull#@it!!!

Posted on March 26, 2008 10:11 AM

Yesterday, HRC opened up another can of racist worms when she decided to attack Obama by going after his former pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Hillary threw a low blow by stating, "You can't choose who you're family is, but you can choose your pastor."

Scary%2520Hillary%2520Clinton.jpg

Of course, what Hillary said isn't that big of a deal, except for the fact that the whole "Barack's pastor is a racist" story faded last week after Obama's historic race speech. It's funny because prior to now Hillary has been quiet about the whole Rev. Wright situation. (I think it's partially because Rev. Wright was a guest in the Clinton White House. I'll post a pic later.) The only reason why the Clinton campaign is using these racist ass tactics is because they are trying to fan flames of hate and prejudice. Trust me, Pennsylvania is filled with folks who would love not to vote for Barack because he is black.

It's about time that DNC boss Howard Dean stepped in and did something about this b.s. The Dems are really going to start losing Black votes in November if some one doesn't quell all this racist banter. Once again, HRC has proven to me that she won't be a moral leader if she is the nominee.

  • Why don't she reveal her tax information to the public like Obama did. Man we have to pay attention. This chick lies so much that we fail to pay attention. Me personally I am tired of the same old players and looking for a change. Tell her to release her tax info and I bet you will find she is crooked. How in the hell can you donate 5 mill to you own campain and not be investigated? Now this is new for the hip hop head. Thanks Sohh.

  • I agree with Victory Park. There's numerous videos on youtube that i'm not going to get too deep into but basically with the money she donated to her own campaign and various illicit funds she recieved from some doners she has broken the law.

Straight up Hilliary is a bitch. She's claiming that she's down for the Black community but yet is trying to fan the flames of racism at the Obama campaign. She knows this is the only way she can win! She didn't win the debates, the delegates or as many states as Obama and she has been engaging in dirty politics for months now.

Like Obama said were trying to get beyond racism, finally and they're still running a smear campaign. She said she wouldn't stand by her pastor, but yet she stood by Bill during his affairs and him getting "sucked off" in the Oval Office! She's full of shi*!

Finally Jeremiah Wright isn't a racist. If he's racist towards white people then why do whites attend his church? Their were white people in the pews when FOX(sly) aired those marginalizing clips of him preaching. Why didn't fox ask those white people who attend his church what they thought about Rev.Wright's comments?

Obama didn't really want to denounce his pastor or Farrakhan, but in order to get into the White House he had too. It was nothing personal and he talked to both of them prior to that, certain issues would come up and he has to be able to get in there so he can do what he has to do! Hilliary just doesn't play fair. This isn't good for hte country, but hse thinks it's good for her campaign, but she's trying to divide us even more. And to think Obama is trying to unify Blacks and Whites and they're acting like he made those comments? Hell i've never even heard Hilliary speaking on her faith.

And also, what tpye of free speech is this blog when you have to have your comments approved by the blog owner who may not agree with your point of view. That's only going to make these blogs irrelevant in the future if everyone's opinion no matter how jaded they are aren't reflected. That's what's wrong with this country today, your freedom of speech is infringed upon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hilary is desperate and I am rapidly loosing respect for her. She's definitely not acting in the best interest of the people and seems to be another politician who has gotten caught up in the allure of the power. I'm not sure if we can trust her anymore. She underestimated and never thought of Obama as a real threat. Now we're in the eleventh hour, he's whooping her ass and she's become willing to do anything (even intentionally instigate racial tensions and divide her own party) just to win. Now I can only wonder what else is she capable of doing if she actually wins. At least we know not to expect much from McCain....but a fuck up and/or betrayal from one of our own will simply be intolerable after the last 8 years of Bush and his bullshit.

  • I am glad that national media and Hilliary R. Clinton are using sound bites from the Rev. speech to try and destroy Obama's Campaign. They are simply doing what so many of our elected officials and media outlets do in our local communities all the time ( ex. Milwaukee Wisconsin 2004 mayoral election). They Use hate, fear, and racism as their tool to keep humanity from growing.
What makes a great leader Humilty, Empathy, Spirtuality one who practices (not preaches) nonviolence over war.

Since the Hilliary O'Reilly Limbaughs of the world keep talking race and politics lets have honest discussion..
The United States of America was stolen from our Native Brothers and Sisters. Africans were stolen and sold. Hoses were sprayed, Emmitt Till beaten, leaders murdered only Integration given Katrina or Lady Liberty that destroyed New Orleans and left people to die? Lets have honest discussion America? Thanks Hilliary for the inspiration

The Nation: When It Comes To Unsavory Religious Affiliations, Clinton Is A Lot More Vulnerable Than Obama

There's a reason Hillary Clinton has remained relatively silent during the flap over intemperate remarks by Barack Obama's former pastor, Jeremiah Wright. When it comes to unsavory religious affiliations, she's a lot more vulnerable than Obama.

You can find all about it in a widely under-read article in the September 2007 issue of Mother Jones, in which Kathryn Joyce and Jeff Sharlet reported that "through all of her years in Washington, Clinton has been an active participant in conservative Bible study and prayer circles that are part of a secretive Capitol Hill group known as "The "Fellowship," also known as The Family. But it won't be a secret much longer. Jeff Sharlet's shocking exposé The Family: The Secret Fundamentalism at the Heart of American Power will be published in May.

Sean Hannity has called Obama's church a "cult," but that term applies far more aptly to Clinton's "Family," which is organized into "cells" - their term - and operates sex-segregated group homes for young people in northern Virginia. In 2002, Sharlet joined The Family's home for young men, forswearing sex, drugs and alcohol, and participating in endless discussions of Jesus and power. He wasn't undercover; he used his own name and admitted to being a writer. But he wasn't completely out of danger either. When he went outdoors one night to make a cell phone call, he was followed. He still gets calls from Family associates asking him to meet them in diners - alone.

The Family's most visible activity is its blandly innocuous National Prayer Breakfast, held every February in Washington. But almost all its real work goes on behind the scenes - knitting together international networks of right-wing leaders, most of them ostensibly Christian. In the 1940s, The Family reached out to former and not-so-former Nazis, and its fascination with that exemplary leader, Adolf Hitler, has continued, along with ties to a whole bestiary of murderous thugs. As Sharlet reported in Harper's in 2003:

During the 1960s the Family forged relationships between the U.S. government and some of the most anti-Communist (and dictatorial) elements within Africa's postcolonial leadership. The Brazilian dictator General Costa e Silva, with Family support, was overseeing regular fellowship groups for Latin American leaders, while, in Indonesia, General Suharto (whose tally of several hundred thousand "Communists" killed marks him as one of the century's most murderous dictators) was presiding over a group of fifty Indonesian legislators. During the Reagan Administration the Family helped build friendships between the U.S. government and men such as Salvadoran general Carlos Eugenios Vides Casanova, convicted by a Florida jury of the torture of thousands, and Honduran general Gustavo Alvarez Martinez, himself an evangelical minister, who was linked to both the CIA and death squads before his own demise.

At the heart of The Family's American branch is a collection of powerful right-wing politicos, who include, or have included, Sam Brownback, Ed Meese, John Ashcroft, James Inhofe and Rick Santorum. They get to use The Family's spacious estate on the Potomac, The Cedars, which is maintained by young men in Family group homes and where meals are served by The Family's young women's group. And, at The Family's frequent prayer gatherings, they get powerful jolts of spiritual refreshment, tailored to the already powerful.

Clinton fell in with The Family in 1993, when she joined a Bible study group composed of wives of conservative leaders like Jack Kemp and James Baker. When she ascended to the Senate, she was promoted to what Sharlet calls the Family's "most elite cell," the weekly Senate Prayer Breakfast, which included, until his downfall, Virginia's notoriously racist Senator George Allen. This has not been a casual connection for Clinton. She has written of Doug Coe, The Family's publicity-averse leader, that he is "a unique presence in Washington: a genuinely loving spiritual mentor and guide to anyone, regardless of party or faith, who wants to deepen his or her relationship with God."

Furthermore, The Family takes credit for some of Clinton's rightward legislative tendencies, including her support for a law guaranteeing "religious freedom" in the workplace, such as for pharmacists who refuse to fill birth control prescriptions and police officers who refuse to guard abortion clinics.

What drew Clinton into the sinister heart of the international right? Maybe it was just a phase in her tormented search for identity, marked by ever-changing hairstyles and names: Hillary Rodham, Mrs. Bill Clinton, Hillary Rodham Clinton and now Hillary Clinton. She reached out to many potential spiritual mentors during her White House days, including New Age guru Marianne Williamson and the liberal rabbi Michael Lerner. But it was the Family association that stuck.

Sharlet generously attributes Clinton's involvement to the under-appreciated depth of her religiosity, but he himself struggles to define The Family's theological underpinnings. The Family avoids the word Christian but worships Jesus, though not the Jesus who promised the earth to the "meek." They believe that, in mass societies, it's only the elites who matter, the political leaders who can build God's "dominion" on earth. Insofar as The Family has a consistent philosophy, it's all about power - cultivating it, building it and networking it together into ever-stronger units, or "cells." "We work with power where we can," Doug Coe has said, and "build new power where we can't."

Obama has given a beautiful speech on race and his affiliation with the Trinity United Church of Christ. Now it's up to Clinton to explain - or, better yet, renounce - her long-standing connection with the fascist-leaning Family.
