Last week I was in Washington DC for the Take Back America Conference, an annual gathering of progressive activists and political leaders. When I first started going a couple years back there were very few people of color in attendance. This year there was a pretty decent mix of folks attending.* It's a pretty cool event if you are into politics.
This year's best moment took place when legendary hip-hop journalist and radio personality Davey D banged on Fox News' Griff Jenkins for being rude to Jesse Jackson during an interview. I wasn't there when it happened, but apparently Davey went so hard on Griff that Take Back officials were a little worried that things were going to come to fisticuffs. (Trust me, Davey would have never taken it that far. And Griff is actually a good sport. I have been interviewed by him before. Being the rude white guy is just his shtick.)
I guess Davey's sentiment was that WE can pick on Jesse but that doesn't give anybody else the right to.
*Shouts out to The Hip-Hop Congress, The Hip-Hop Caucus, The League and The Hip-Hop Convention--groups that all made the trip to DC this year.

I have a question since you dont believe in jumping on the bandwagon with Obama, just which canidate do you support? I already heard about the family lineage with Obama, which is way off in the past, they are both cousins to some man from the 1700's . You act like they are first cousins or something.
