Welcome to Consequence’s GuestStar Blog Entries. Shout out to SOHH for giving me an opportunity to talk to my fans and potential new ones. If you don’t know, “Don’t Quit Your DayJob” is in stores right NOW!!!

In this blog entry I wanted to explain who the “little black & white” character you may have seen in the “Callin Me” video is. That’s my logo and his name is “The Cons”. He has also had the distinct pleasure of gracing my album cover. (Just think I waited 10 years to drop my solo LP and instead of people seeing my face I get replaced by some little black’n’white guy with a crown on his head! Lol)

Alright we’re back! When we last left off I explained how we shot the video for the skit “Yo Dex”. We’re now up to the last & final video skit entitled “Good News, Bad News”. This skit concludes the storyline to “Don’t Quit Your Day Job” and is sonically attached to “Who Knew My Luck Would Change” (which we will be shooting a video for this summer)

So where were we? On the last blog I kicked it with y’all about the filming of “On Break” the 2nd video skit from album. So naturally this blog would be about the 3rd skit which is entitled “Yo Dex”. As far as I’m concerned one the most embarrassing things that can happen to you is your parents calling your job.

Consequence: Takes a Break

Alright we’ve talked about “Don’t Forget’Em” & “Guess What” so let me explain the process of shooting my 2nd video skit “On Break”. We shot this & “Yo Dex” inside the Paul & Shark Shop on 66th Street & Madison Avenue. Originally my man Charlemagne from “The Wendy Williams Experience” was suppose to play the “Boss” character. We kept running into scheduling problems because the store was only available in the early part of the day and Charlemagne had to be on the air by 2pm. I wanted to get these finished sooner than later since we were launching them from a viral standpoint. Once I saw we were going to be further delayed than expected I figured I should just do it.

I figured since we went through the process of shooting the video for my new single “Don’t Forget’Em” in the previous blog that we should talk about what it took to shoot the videos for the skits on my album. The first one that we shot is called “Guess What”. It is the first skit on my album and is sonically attached to the end of “Job Song”.

With this being my first blog entry , I wanted to talk about my new single “Don’t Forget’Em” and the of making this video. It’s funny how I actually landed on “Don’t Forget’Em”. I recorded this record in late 2005 at Chung King Studios in Lower Manhattan. This was one of the few times me & Kanye were in the studio together while I recorded this album. So check it, we’re in the studio right,I’m supercharged to get a few records finished. You’ve gotta understand, me & Kanye are mad tight but I understand he’s one the biggest producers in the game so I try to take full advantage of having him involved in my project (It’s Business). So we’re in the studio going through beats and one of my guys who will remain anonymous had his girl in the studio. Son when I tell you they were illin’ man these 2 maf*ckers were dry humping, kissing and all sorts of dumb shit. I’m looking like,”Hello I have an album to finish! Could you guys go get a hotelroom”.

Tomorrow Cons talks about making "Don't Forget 'Em" with Kanye and the studio love that messed up his session.
