The Breakfast Klub is a local restaurant downtown off of Travis and Alabama and it’s just a good way to start the day.
The vibe is excellent. They play great music, they have live music, local artists display art, local writers come through and do book signings and they are very entrenched in the community. They sponsor a lot of church activities there. Plus the owner Marcus Davis is a good friend of mine.

It’s definitely a landmark. 90% of the CD’s and tapes they sell there are at least 5years old and mixtapes don’t usually have a shelf life like that. It’s all from DJ Screw except for a few new mixtapes from his cousin Big Baby.

This is where I recorded my entire album. A friend of mine, Ronnie Bookman owns it, and right now it’s probably one of the best studios in the country.
I usually go by there when I go to the Galleria. I get there about 2 o’clock in the afternoon and can get any table in the place.
They serve Cajun/Creole food. Coming from Port Arthur, Texas, that was a dominant cuisine out there. Fresh seafood, gumbo and crawfish boils are the norm.
