  • Hey G-Unot Killa -

Just because you have a crush on the men in G-Unit and get a DOUBLE WOOD hard on whenever you listen to them, doesn't mean you should hate.

Spend less time getting yourself off alone in your bedroom to a poster of 50 Cent without a shirt on, and educate yourself.

  • Wow Wow Wow.... So much hate... If you don't like his music or him why are you on his blog??? Seriously no one asked you to stay. But you know what they say HATERS ARE YOUR MOTIVATION!

It's clear you don't know about real music or real talent. His music may be a bit above you. Obviously you are still on to stuff like G-Unit (no disrespect to them I dont hate on anyone) But Raheem's music caters to a more mature adult crowd.

It's 2008 being gangsta is played out "G-Unit Killa". It's all love though it's clear your young... we all have to learn and grow. Holla at Raheem's cd when you about 25 and want a real woman. I bet you this one G-Unit won't get you in the bedroom but I bet Raheem Devaughn will!

Raheem makes classic timeless music only the Grown and Sexy would understand! Get on his level!

The Love Experience album wow Breathe, Ask Yourself straight baby makers right there!

A DEDICATED FAN OF REAL MUSIC...AND RAHEEM FITS INTO THAT CATEGORY!

  • For real I love Mr. Devaughn and I hope he continues to make the music he makes! Only young no getting pussy ass niggas would be mad because a grown ass man is making music that ladies want to hear. That's the cd your WOMAN is going to put on when she wants you to know that it's time to come get it DADDY! Ya Erd Me?!?!?! That's that music that comes on and a nigga gets an instant erection because he remembers that ass getting thrown back at him to the beat when he was hittin it from the back. Case in point Raheem continue to do your thing brother because while a real man is listening to your cd with a wet dick there will always be a hater chockin his chicken to that "hard core" hip-hop!

I hope this hate motivates him to step his game up and quit making songs about value meals and shit. Marvin Gay is rolling in his grave right now. Marvin is from DC, so much for the new generation representing....J. Holliday's CD is 30x's better. Not even chicks are buying his album. He sold a quarter of the population of SE.

  • WOW! J Holiday's CD is better???? Not hating on the dude I like 3 songs on the album but the album definitely lacks depth. He's not saying anything we haven't heard before. Have you listened to the lyrics??? You couldn't have..... I guess we can't really fault J Holiday for his lyrics though, since he didn't write most of them. Well, different strokes for different folks. Raheem's music is definitely for a more mature crowd. I wouldn’t expect for people who find lyrics like “Before we roll this shit, settle down young girl. Before we smoke this shit, settle down young girl.. Ya rollin wit ya boy, ya chillin wit ya boy and this is how it is when you fucks wit ya boy” prolific. Simpleminded music for simpleminded people.

  • Well, I am a grown ass woman and this shit just does not appeal to me. I didn't gravitate toward Jill Scott or Jaguar Wright or any of the other Neo-soulers. Look how long they lasted, only one left is Jill. This is just not good music, period. It has it's moments, but as a whole this cd is trash. Just because it 'sounds' different doesn't make it good.
And for all the people commenting on the "hate"....please remember...Opinions are like assholes and elbows, we all have them...

Have u hear this nigga's voice. OMG, Raheem can barely carry a note. His songs are horrible. This nigga's singing about fastfood....WTF? R. Kelly did that back in 05, but did a better job. So what if he rights his own songs, he should quit, cause they suck. J.Holiday might not right his own music, like many of the other top singers in the industry, but his voice murders Raheem DaVaughn's. Plus, i get more puss to 'Bed' and 'Sufficated' than lame ass 'Woman' (nice try, but wack song) and whatever that song is talkin about 'taking orders' and 'minimum wage jobs' and what not.

So true...... Everyone is entitled to their opinion. As I said before, Raheem’s music is for mature listeners. You can be 110 years old and still immature.

Sweetie..... you are entitled to your opinion. Lets just say that we have different taste. Me, I prefer steak and you, you sound like a pork –n-bean type of kid.
No one really cares what you play when or IF, I emphasize "IF" you get your freak on. If your swag is anything like your taste in music….. Boy you’ll never even get close enough to imagine having sex with a Woman. "Bed" and "Suffocate” just so happen to be 2 of the 3 cuts I like by J Holiday, so I'll give it to you on those. I could sit here and argue vocal ability all day, but what will that do? You're still going to have your opinion and I'm still going to have mine. Let’s just say we agree to disagree.

Fillet Mignon vs. Vienna Sausages……? No comparison.

And just how 'mature' are you to even comment on my comment? See, I have an opinion, different than yours (which you agree is possible), yet your 'mature' ass had to come back with an 'IMMATURE' post. WFTF? Your own personal well being or was it you were trying to be a smartass?
Bottomline, the cd is trash (imo) and you like it. It has NOTHING WHATSOEVER TO DO WITH maturity or immaturity. See a GROWN ASS MATURE PERSON would have gotten that and left it as is. What category do you believe you fall in again because you like this cd? Lord Help the Mindless.

Yet you chose to put a versus in between them as if they could? Hmmmm, mature much? And since you listen and like to the cuts he was referring to...what does that say about your taste? Vienna sausage, anyone? lol

  • HEY HEY HEY..... No need for all the hate in here... We can all agree to disagree. I am from DC obviously and I support my local talent tooth and nail.

I do agree there is really no comparison between the two artist. Lyrically and vocally they just have two different styles and appeal to two different audiences. For the record sales does not equal a great album. Hell look at all the albums 50Cent sold is he a great rapper? Hell look at Soljah Boy for that matter. (much love to them they grinding I cant hate the hustle) I'm just using them as an example.

J.Holiday sings and is about the money. I have his album. It took time to grow on me but I can say I listen to half the tracks. I like his album can't say I play it often now or anything but I support him he is from my city and has some talent. Plus he a real down to earth and real guy.

Raheem to me writes and records classic music. He has a old soul he to me is more into the craft and the art of the music. If you listen to the Love Experience Album oh my goodness I mean just to deep. The subjects he touch on just amazing in my opinion. Love Behind the Melody is a lot more mainstream and different from his first album but I still love the album. For the past month I have listened to it every day. But different strokes for different folks my mom is almost 50 I played it for her and she couldnt get into it. I'm 25 and I love it.... so it's all love. We will not all like the same music.

Doesnt make us bad people just our taste different. Bed does not make me want to get it on but "Customer" wow....

The song is a cater to you song basically telling his girl she can have it her way...he is willing to please her any way she wants it.... I can't believe u not feeling that. I put that on or Mo Better with your girl any real womean its a rap! Say what Raheem is saying in Customer to your girl and you will have a good night lol!

By the way u can say u dislike an artist without tearing them down.

"Cost u nothing pay Rah no mind"

Much love to all Raheem hates and supporters

Of course you can. But this cd is trash, in my opinion. Not that I dislike him, cause I love "Woman" and a couple others, but the cd as a whole is trash. And I never got Neo-Soul. It was a bourgoise term when it started and it just seemed like 'unsoul'. I don't remember Marvin and Stevie, hootin and hollerin like this guy. Keep it real and it comes through the soul.
