Ghostface: GFK 2007! After Like 6 Solo Joints I Had To Take It Back On 'Em
When you peep the new album cover inside you gonna see Big Tone rocking the hockey mask. Had to blast off from the stocking cap. That was some 36 Chambers sh*t. In 2007 I had to rock the Jason mask and sh*t. N*ggas ask me why I put the mask on again. Sometimes you just have to bring it back, you know? That’s how I came out to the world and after like 6 solo joints I wanted to bring it back.
I mean a lot of people don’t understand why I call myself Ghostface. Hiding my face was the whole hustle when we first dropped. I wanted to be like the silent killer that nobody ever saw. It was like the kung fu flicks RZA used to always watch. When I saw the dude who was the Ghostface on Channel 5 I was like word that’s what I’m gonna be. Everybody picked they little character and that was me.
Then after a while I took it off. You know, I had to let Pretty Tone out the box. Let all the honeys see me so I could do my whatever, whatever. But like I said it seems like the stars changed when I did that. ‘Since the face got revealed, game got real.’ Once people see your face you can’t lamp in the ‘hood like you used to. The snakes see you with the robes and the truck jewelry and then you got beef. But when that heat comes we handle it and keep it moving. That’s why I’m here as Pretty Tone the GFK and them n*ggas is still eating coconut cookies.
