Consequence: Yo Dex!

Welcome back to Consequence’s GuestStar Blog Entries. Shout out to SOHH for giving me an opportunity to talk to my fans and potential new ones. If you don’t know, ”Don’t Quit Your DayJob” is in stores right NOW!!!

So where were we? On the last blog I kicked it with y’all about the filming of “On Break” the 2nd video skit from album. So naturally this blog would be about the 3rd skit which is entitled “Yo Dex”. As far as I’m concerned one the most embarrassing things that can happen to you is your parents calling your job.

In this skit “Mom” is calling Dexter at work to inform him that his “Uncle Rahiem” is coming home from prison and will be staying with them for a while. When she calls one of Dexter’s co-workers , played both on the Album and in the video skit by DJ Swivel , picks up the phone and yells out the government name mad loud like ,”Yo Dex ya Moms is on the phone!!!”

From there “Mom” instructs Dexter that he will have to move his stuff to the basement to make room for his uncle. This skit is the set up for the song “Uncle Rahiem”. We’ll talk about “Uncle Rahiem” and the story behind it in the days to come.

Consequence is dope and I have been listening to him since the tribe days I bought the album the first day it came out and I bought the mixtape from him after a show in birmingham alabama. Everyone should give cons a chance and cop that cd because it is live

That mixtape The Cons. 4 with Clinton Sparks is fire. I will get the album because your concepts are good like the label. I like this concept video. Family throw party's for dude coming home from a bid but get that diploma and everybody forgot about a party for yo sh**. LOL.
