Consequence: Takes a Break

Alright we’ve talked about “Don’t Forget’Em” & “Guess What” so let me explain the process of shooting my 2nd video skit “On Break”. We shot this & “Yo Dex” inside the Paul & Shark Shop on 66th Street & Madison Avenue. Originally my man Charlemagne from “The Wendy Williams Experience” was suppose to play the “Boss” character. We kept running into scheduling problems because the store was only available in the early part of the day and Charlemagne had to be on the air by 2pm. I wanted to get these finished sooner than later since we were launching them from a viral standpoint. Once I saw we were going to be further delayed than expected I figured I should just do it.

This skit is arguably my favorite. I love The Boss’ rap that goes,” PANTS, SKIRTS, SHIRTS & TEES/ ALL OF THAT WE CAN GET IT FOR FREE/ BOOSTING IN HERE AIN’T REALLY THAT HARD/ CUZ THEY AIN’T GOT NO SECURITY GUARD!!!” So to have me play both characters we simply came up with an imaginary longitude line and shot me playing each role separately. To me it’s funny that a lot times I do my best work when presented with a challenge.
Check out my 3rd Video Skit “On Break”. If you have ever had a deadend job you should be able to relate. If you haven’t this will make sure you never wind up with one.
Enjoy!!!

  • I laugh everytime i hear this skit! The album should have had more promotion but also should have had more tracks. Atleast 16. The skits dont count. Cmon Cons, Tell Ye to hook at least half your album up. He was off doing whack ass Fall Out Boy remixes and shit.

  • This was my favorite skit off the CD (the song following it was my fav. too). Shoulda had more promo but the CD could've had more songs on it as well. Cons, you're a good rapper, it's just that most niggas are into the rockstar fad and dancing shit that's out now. I don't understand it, but you know how most people are. If it's played every hour on the radio, they think it's hot.
