The Breakfast Klub is a local restaurant downtown off of Travis and Alabama and it’s just a good way to start the day.
The vibe is excellent. They play great music, they have live music, local artists display art, local writers come through and do book signings and they are very entrenched in the community. They sponsor a lot of church activities there. Plus the owner Marcus Davis is a good friend of mine.
They serve breakfast food like fried pork chops, chicken and waffles, catfish and grits, man, they offer a variety. And they make a crawfish fettuccine with catfish and red beans and rice for lunch that’s the truth. If I’m taking somebody to lunch before noon, I’m taking them to The Breakfast Klub.

Yes, the breakfast klub is definitely the place. Everyone reading this right now must visit at least one time when you are in Houston. Everything is off tha hook, but you can't beat the Katfish and Grits.
The chicken wings have singed hair in the bread. Don't believe me? It will be on Channel 13 Rat and Roach report soon. If you eat there, be careful about looking at the food first.
Oh, and don't tip the waitstaff, because they don't get to keep the tips, it all goes to Marcus and family, not employees.
