Lil' Kim's "Ladies Night" Video

The "Ladies Night" video was shot for the 'Nothing To Lose' soundtrack. The song was a remix to "Not Tonight" from 'Hard Core' and was the first and only all female cut that Lil' Kim released. It was also Kim's first and only platinum record for a single, which was a huge boost for her career.

During the filming of this video, the girls were shot scuba diving, jet skiing and riding on a boat to reach an island resort. The boat was the only problem the ladies ran across, because Angie Martinez caught a case of motion sickness and eventually all but Da Brat were sick. Guests on the island also consisted of Queen Latifah, Blaque, Mary J Blige and Maia Campbell.

As a fan, it was nice to see Kim reach a broader commercial success and to see her work with other female rappers. For the entirety of Kim's career, she has rarely worked with other female artists, especially on her own songs, so it was nice to see that she can do that. We'll always be hoping for Ladies Night 2!

This was also the first video Kim fully wore a blonde wig, setting the trend for years to come. This song definitely gave her crossover appeal.
