Can Kim Win Vibe's Album Of The Year?

The nominations for this years Vibe Awards have been announced and the one and only Queen Bee has been nominated for Album of the Year. Other nominees for album of the year are "Get Lifted" by John Legend, "Late Registration" by Kanye West, "The Documentary" by The Game, and "The Emancipation of Mimi" by Mariah Carey. Unfortunately Kim will not be attending the ceremony, due to her time in federal prison.
Kim has some very stiff competition with this one, and I don't think she will be walking away with this one. Kanye's album has sold 1.6 million so far, definitely putting him into the running. Although John Legend may not be a great seller, his album has critical acclaim. The Game was a breakthrough artist this year, going 2x platinum, but faded after his beef with 50 Cent erupted. Mariah, who is currently at 3.5 million sold, will most likely be taking this one home. I do wish Kim the best of luck, but to even be nominated shows that 'The Naked Truth' is an album worth purchasing.

Lawyers for the Brooklyn rapper have been given until Wednesday to prove that her former Junior M.A.F.I.A. member-turned-enemy Lil’ Cease should not be allowed to release a tell-all DVD that chronicles his version of Kim’s recent federal trial. Lawyers for Lil’ Cease informed Federal Judge Jed S. Rakoff that all references to Lil’ Kim were removed from the DVD cover, and that the film is a “documentary†with news value. In turn, Rakoff said he would allow the DVD’s release unless Lil’ Kim’s lawyers could provide new evidence by Oct. 12.
If she wins, which I highly doubt, Vibe will have lost all credibility as the Source.
damn haters is out...but i don't know if she would win, however, to be in the running with those artistS is an accomplishment all in itself.
The Album was in fact very good and well deserving of the ratings. Every rating system can't be wrong, she recieved max ratings from mostly all of the popular entity's that rate albums, the other ones she was a 1/2 mark off.

I have not heard the Lil Kim album, so I can't comment oon its actual quality, but I know how people act, and with that being said, it is probably being overrated because of her situation. What I can say is that her album was released too recently to, in most cases, even have been considered for this year's awards. She won't win though. Out of all the albums listed, I think Kanye deserves it, and I really hope that Mariah Carey doesnt get it, not as a hater, but I think she is least deserving out of the artist mentioned based on album quality. If she tsill had her pipes, then maybe it would be a different story. But Lil Kim's nod is probably just a gift.
Has the world gone mad?! No way does Kim's albums measure up to the other nominees, even Mariah's. I'm really not a Kim hater, I liked some parts of this album, like I like some parts of La Bella Mafia. But c'mon, this album is just not very good.

I love kim, but I don't think that she deserves to win that award. Her album was well deserving of the ratings that it has recieved. It showed a lot of "GOOD" versatility! Even if it's not a 5 mic album in some views, it's still close hands down. So it's worth gettin. So don't hate. I would like to say that I love kim, I love everything that she do.
This is Lil Kim's best album to date. I am very grateful she has been nominated and it proves that she is bettering her albums and her power as an artist. I love you Kim.

I like the album. It's worth buying. I've always liked lil' Kim. She's deserving of at least some credit. She's withstood the woes of this industry and is still hanging in there. Lyrically, she's come up a lot with this album, writing most of the songs on her album. So you all need to stop hating, because if Lil' Kim decided she wanted to come to your city and perform, you would be right there!!
