Lil Kim's "No Matter What They Say" Video
"No Matter What They Say" was the first video from Kim's long-awaited second release "Notorious K.I.M.". This was not the first version of the song however, as it was originally called "Bad Girls" featuring Ru Paul and only the first verse made it to the final version due to bootlegging.
Kim had not wanted this to be her first single, but due to record label decisions, that's exactly what it was. The video was very rushed and only premiered a week prior to the release of the album, leaving little room to promote. The video featured appearances by Method Man, Redman, Carmen Electra, Xzibit, Mary J Blige and Missy Elliott. Missy actually got drunk and fell asleep under the couch used in one of the scenes.
I had only wished that this video would have been released sooner, or another song entirely for that matter. The video was good, but did not offer much in the way of promotion and wasn't as popular as it could have been given the right time. Kim looked amazing in the video and it was nice to see her dance. The video looked fun for Kim, since she did have her friends around, but ultimately it's not her best video. It wasn't what we expected after 4 years.

Oh God. This video was pure shit. All that Rupaul makeup, she should have left him on the single. I heard that version and it is worse than the one promoted. It kills me that people scream about no promotion when NK was promoted out the ass! And the funny thing is, if "No Matter" had not been released as the first single, she would have had no other single. The whole album as double-trash. Not one worthy single on the whole shit. Please let kim rest in peace and quit posting these lame ass "celebration" blogs about this jailhouse "hoodrat".

The song was Hot period...and sorry her nose was NOT DONE...THE 1st Hater was right...it was all done with make up...it is called "contouring"...which means taking a stick of makup and making a line st8 down your nose to make it look smaller...
Look ant her on HOW MANY LICKS video...U really can see the line and her nose on the knightrider scene.
This is all done with makeup. Most drag queens use the technique to make their noses smaller as well. She haning out with Rupaul did rub off on KIM...so what!!! If covergirl can cover man why can't it make KIM INTO a MEGA STAR???
But anyway KIM looked good...and people should NOT KNOCK HER for being her and living her life.

It's so easy for people to sit at their keyboards and trash someone without knowing the blood, sweat, and tears that go into a project. When you're a recording artist, you dont always call all the shots. There VP's and CEO's that make decisions for you. I wish that people could cut Kim some slack and give her the respect she deserves, not only as a 10-year veteran in the rap industry, but also as the caring and giving a person that she is. "He who is without sin, may cast the first stone..." Can you?
