Ah yes the dance craze continues across the nation. We are in the middle of a lot of different wars. Cultural wars. The female rapper has been told over and over that their music doesn’t sell. Now I have to keep it 100 on this one. I think that’s Bullshit. I know there are countless amounts of stats that back it up. But the one stat that isn’t on the table is perspective. You see I think the perspective of how the industry tries to market female rappers is the wackest sh*t ever.

With everybody waving around their rags and all, the independent male in America has always maintained a stride to break the surface of some sort of weird approval ( for lack of better words). And when you see T.I. and Swizz do this club banger as a beautiful tribute to these folk that (fill in you thoughts of Louis here).

First off let me just say all of the music channels out there, all of them, if you don't have some type of special being done on this latest Scarface project don't get mad when in the next few years new networks take your place in the consumers mind. This will happen. You see if the label up that money then all of a sudden we get specials and sh*t on other rappers. So the next time I see some big special on a rapper and you start saying how great he is and how much he has influenced everybody and blah blah blah bullsh*t. If you ain't doing some type of special programing set up for the new Face project, you wack point blank. Money run this game but at some point you got to be smart enough to do both and win.

Wow, so where do I start. Well the Dirty Awards went down this year and this being the Internet you all know the story by now. And I know you looking for the scoop, but let's just say I see, speak, and hear no evil. First our prayers go out to both the Grand Hustle family and the D4L family. I get down with all these dudes and just like the Mike Jones/Trae situation there is no winner in a situation like this. I really wish they could have just meet up in an alley and got it on so that it could be finished. The Dirty Awards is a pretty well planned event and this year was no different. I guess I'll take this time out also to warn future award shows of what they can do to prevent this in the future.

It's been 3 yrs since Slim released an album. But this might prove to be perfect timing. If anything Slim now knows what works and what doesn't. Before I get to his new single, I gotta run this "Living Without." This song definitley should have been a single with video. (in your deep voice) This should be played at high volume.

Hurt is the only word that comes to mind when I heard about Shakir. To everyone that's just a fan of this site and not in the industry Shakir was huge because he was one of us. I speak for any black male you see working in this industry that is not an entertainer and is more on the business end. We all saw our self in Shake. He was a very focused individual.

No better way to kick off the week than with one of the hottest cats in the game right now. Trae is easily one of the most underrated in the game. His flow is one that you have to pay close attention to catch his vibe but once you're locked in then it on. Here's his new video where he addresses a few things. There is no telling how far Trae can go. Look for him to be all over the place in 2009.
