Who Hates The "Trap" Rapper? Music by:Oj the Juiceman, Project Pat, Dro and LA

Posted on January 22, 2009 12:19 PM

Why you mad? I don’t get it. If you look at the latest street grind the “trap” rapper is doin it. Oj the Juiceman, Project Pat, Papa Duck, etc. People get upset at these dudes and I think it’s ridiculous. You worship other rappers who are talkin about the same shit in a slicker way. Check the lyrics! They just have on more fashionable “to you” clothes, say 1 or 2 possitive things and you all of a sudden act like all rappers should be like them. Get off Europes D*ck !!

Boring as hell. Also very corny. Some people will do anything yes ” you know” anything to be accepted in this world of segregated wealth. The whole got dam United States of America is a trap. Did you not just see the biggest scam in history. Oh that’s right you still under the lights. Give it time, the shit will hit the fan.

Go ahead. Be mad as hell at these so called Trap rappers. Your MVP Rappers work for white supremacy to keep Negros in this country under control. Set standards that are manufactured by access to wealth by way of selling out. Yes you to can be the man if you sell your soul to the right people. So who’s the real trap rapper? Put your signs in the air to your own death, and dumbness. Hey don’t get mad at me. Just know what you worshiping before you get on the boat. Truth is the truth. We in a digital age, your invisible clothes are showing.

Lets get a lil music going since i got you all vexed.

Shout out to Ms. Drama. Here’s an interview she did wit Pat recently.

Don Cannon has a new mixtape out wit Mack Maine. Here’s a cut floating across net.

We really can’t be worried about what people think. There are a lot of different types of people in this world. Media by force of the Internet is finally embracing the many different types of Black males in society. So the trap rapper is just one more personality who deserves exposure. If you talk to these cats wit true concern of your fears or ignorant assumptions you are bound to find out that they are just like you.

You worried about the images getting out to the kids but you still have yet to address the root of the corruption. You sound scared to me. You still say things like ” The war on drugs”. By the way, as a people, dam we look good. Young Dro and Young LA got a song for it, like to hear it. Hear it go.

Just tell me what you think? But have some discussion behind it. Don’t come with the one two “F” you comments. Really why can’t we have a million different types of rap without media forcing them to hate on each other. Do you remember what happened when Martin and Malcolm were about to come together? Well that’s why its the Media’s job to keep up this bullshit. When in the back of the club and in the neighborhood cuts the backpack rapper, the trap rapper, the conscious rapper, and even the dancing rapper all pull from the same blunt…….Church.

Thats real talk right there. people wanna act like it aint good hip hop just cause its from the trap. fuck that shit.

trap rappers is the shit but yall are sleepin on big stacksss he eatin the streets up rite now OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Church !!!!!!! these boyz need to overstand that position and place that the fans see them in. Some of them see themselves as gods so there's no break thru coming for most rappers -- they are just there for the hoes and money. Some rappers will say it - period point blank..... "I'm not a rapper", (not your role model) "I'm a hustle" confused on the fact that they're either field or house nigg**! Then you have those who play the part with the best of them rather it be field or house !

You know who hates the trap rapper homie, I do and you know why, because the ignorance being perpetuated by the trap rapper is something we really don't need, regardless of who it is, hell I aint a jay z fan either, storytelling and glorifying aren't the same thing, never have been and its funny how backwards this culture is, we'll champion the trap rapper, the fake gangster l day but if I come at you with something postive or I disagree, I'm hating, I'm acting white, I'm lame, that's utter bull really, not to mention I could have sworn that talent should rule art forms and let's be serious here, rapping is about flow, cadence, wordplay, storytelling, similie, metaphor, rhythmically using words to convey a thought or idea and these dudeslack that skill, forget that "at least they makin money crap" they can get a damn job at home depot like any other person dude, I'm from the same environment as all these dudes claim they're from, I don't think its cool, I don't like it, and I will not respect it, people can like and listen to whatever they want but nobody's hating on no one, people have different opinions, you want the conscious rappers (like myself) to deal with that, I think the trap/gangster or whatever needs to do it more than I ever will, just my two cents, peace

Dumbest, most ignorant rant ever. Most likely from a rap fan that's only listened to the genre for 5 years.

Yeah I expected someone to say that, whatever bro I'm not concerned with that because if that's how you feel you don't know where I'm coming from, and I've been listening to rap since god knows when and I know my hip hop, I study it, I research it, I even research artist I don't listen to or care for, so umm yeah, only 5 years, pure bs my brother, don't make me laugh

I'll put my 2 cents in here....

It's not that they hate YOU Mr. Trap Rapper...we and they HATE what you represent. They hate that you represent pain, suffering, and depression. They hate that you glorify the fact that someone's mother, sister, or daughter is strung out selling p*ssy for a drug YOU sell your OWN people sir. The world is f*cked up so if not you then yes it'll be someone else so it might as well be you. But that doesn't mean people have to accept that. That doesn't mean they have to tolerate what you represent. There is room for all types of generes in music and types of rap as you call it. But all of those art forms combine for this thing we call "Hip Hop", and in it's core roots are the idea that we will strive to become better men, financially, spiritually, and family-wise. That is a contradiction to "trap rap". You talk about death, self-destruction, the LOVE of Money (which has been said to the the ROOT of alllll evil, do you know how much evil is in the world? And you want to be involved with the ROOT??) At some point we have to all choose what side we are going to be on....God's side or the Devil's and as a rapper and messenger to the people, we have to decide who's message we are going to convey. Whose side are you on????

Nigga stop typin while smokin...shit just doesn't work...we all know better than what you just wrote, and you even put Malcom up there...MALCOM? Hell you were thinkin with this shit?????

I understand how rappers like Project Pat always emphasize that they are not role models, and that they are just hustlin' and trying to make some money. But the thing is, which came first, the chicken or the egg? Do you just give the streets the kind of music that they want, or do they want it simply because rappers of your relative fame and stature are putting it out? In other words, I don't necessarily think trap rappers should stop doing what they do, but I think that guys like Project Pat should simply realize the immense amount of POWER that they have over their listeners. You have the power to shape an entire genre if rap and therefore shape the mindstates of all the trap rap fans out there. There are many different ways to do this, and they aren't all corny (even Project Pat himself recognized Tupac as being street and educational at the same time). I don't know, maybe it just is how it has to be.
Peace out
