Imagine if the media reported the things the industry does in the community more than just during the holidays. A lot of our industry peers do more for the hood than every other organization or social group. It seems when they do it never gets reported til the holiday season. Here's a few things going on.

Miami, FL, (December 18, 2008) - Rick Ross Charities, Inc and 34 Ways Foundation in association with Toys for Tots and the City of Miami Gardens Parks and Recreation will host the Holiday Winter Wonderland on Monday, December 22, 2008 from 11am - 3pm at Scott Park in Miami Gardens, FL. The Holiday Winter Wonderland Event was created to assist hundreds of families scrambling to make ends meet in this difficult economy. In an effort to assist families with gift giving and the holiday dinner preparation, food and toys will be distributed to children and families during the Holiday Winter Wonderland Event by Platinum Recording Artist Rick Ross, New Orleans Saints Michael McKenzie and various elected officials. Children will be treated to a day of fun with games, toys, Scholarship Fund, Financial Seminars and a host of others.

The reason I’m choosing to use these pics is because I want you to look at these pics closely. This is what corporate America does not want to happen. Really when it comes to helping out in the trenches. When the politics are all done. These cats aren’t pushing an image. You think so because when you wore your gold chain it was a phase. When you had golds in you mouth it was a fad to you. You were the faker as time tells the full story.

There’s a time and place for everything is what some of you are thinking and you are right and respect is due at some point for the many different types of Black American Male to be respected by not only our own dress up to impress others that don’t give a damn about you brothers. But corporate America is also at war with itself. Cats have been changing clothes and been instructed how to speak. They do and turn all kinds of tricks just to try and make that money only to become a clown in what I call “futuristic slave wear”. Unless you really on that journey. Because some of you are. And there is too much narrow mindedness floating around on that one to continue.

Baton Rouge, LA - December 23, 2008 - In the spirit of giving of the holiday season, the Michael Clayton Generation Next Foundation and Trill Entertainment will be teaming up with up with a dynamic group of organizations to host their 2nd Annual “Trill Days of Christmas Toy Giveaway” on Tuesday, December 23rd in the Mall of Cortana located on the corner of Florida Blvd. and Airline Hwy from 3 - 5 p.m.

Houston Councilman Jarvis Johnson will host his 3rd Annual “Winter Wonderland” Christmas Party for the students in his district (District B) with the most improved academic record this coming Thursday, December 18th, 2009 and he has once again tapped Trae Tha Truth to assist him in making the event a memorable one. Along with Councilman Peter Brown, who donated toys and decorations for the event, Trae will be on hand to play Santa and meet and greet with the participating children.

I believe in Music and the Arts. They have and always will provide a way to connect with the most high. Even when the programming of the enemy of light presents its most difficult life distractions and keeps groups of people from knowing that there will be light and enlightenment to all.
