The Bayou Classic went down this weekend. And I'm sad to say we got our ass kicked 29 -14. Grambling beat Southern and I'm sure E-40 is somewhere smiling right now. The Bayou Classic is probably one of the biggest if not the biggest game in Black College football. Everybody says that but this ones been rolling for 35yrs strong. To say it's a grudge match is a major understatement. Here are the highlights to catch you up.
Downright painful. And for you Drumline addicts. The Battle of the Bands was kind of fishy. I heard Southern won officially but a lot of emails are crying foul saying Grambling was the better Band. hmmm. Check out the performance here.
For the full band Breakdown go here.
This is not new however I think its a great move. Clipse have been working on a clothing line called Play Cloths. Should be pretty nice. After all these guys do stay on top of the fashion trends and such. If you remember they were the one of the first to rep the Japanese-based clothing brand A Bathing Ape (BAPE).
DJ Magic Mike helped to lay down the foundation in Bass music. The big bass sound is making a comeback. All though truth be told the South has always keep the 808 in full swing. Here's the classic "Feel the Bass."
Now fast forward. DJ Unk keeps the tradition going. Unk's latest Second Season has a giant sleeper on it. I'll say it and when it happens you will remember this post. This song has the potential to be as big as the Mad Cobra hit "Flex." I don't know what moves Koch and Oomp making with it, but set up right this song can crush anything summer '09. Don't trust me, just put it on and ask your girl, she knows. Sean Kingston was just the right person to come in add that international touch. Ignore it if you want but when the swimsuits come out remember this song. Summer '09.
