Loyalty to what?

With everybody talking loyalty so much lately, lets get it cracking. I simply ask? Loyalty to what. I always find it funny when people start talking loyalty in the industry. Like they want you to sign this contract that Massa gave them to have and feel the need to have you sing the same song. Everybody does this to make it. She did it! He did it! It’s just a club.See how big they are now! My thoughts, naga please! And then when you find out what’s really going on and your perspective is different and lets just say you utter this some Bullshit! Then ahhhhhhhhhhh you dun done it nah. You not Loyal!

Ahhhhh the holidays. Everybody puts in that extra effort. Well if you follow from the last post...

The female rapper has been told over and over that their music doesn’t sell. Now I have to keep it 100 on this one. I think that’s Bullshit. I know there are countless amounts of stats that back it up. But the one stat that isn’t on the table is perspective. You see I think the perspective of how the industry tries to market female rappers is the wackest sh*t ever.

With everybody waving around their rags and all, the independent male in America has always maintained a stride to break the surface of some sort of weird approval ( for lack of better words). And when you see T.I. and Swizz do this club banger as a beautiful tribute to these folk that (fill in you thoughts of Louis here).

Imagine if the media reported the things the industry does in the community more than just during the holidays. A lot of our industry peers do more for the hood than every other organization or social group. It seems when they do it never gets reported til the holiday season. Here's a few things going on.

Ok so here reads the script. He’s 18. He’s on top of his game. You say he’s not. Ok what are you asking of every person in entertainment to just be aware. That’s all we can ask. Just be aware. (So the guy in the back stands Up)<< How do we know he understands my children are watching! I know I praise adults twice his age for doing the same reality life growing up in our face as we watch them all and ourselves grow thanks to Youtube , Goggle, and every other site that brings art to the net which puts reality in your face you still ask is he aware.

Ok lets get to it. Scarface is one of the dopest MCs to touch the planet. First off let me just say all of the music channels out there, all of them, if you don't have some type of special being done on this latest Scarface project don't get mad when in the next few years new networks take your place in the consumers mind. This will happen. You see if the label up that money then all of a sudden we get specials and sh*t on other rappers. So the next time I see some big special on a rapper and you start saying how great he is and how much he has influenced everybody and blah blah blah bullsh*t. If you ain't doing some type of special programing set up for the new Face project, you wack point blank. Money run this game but at some point you got to be smart enough to do both and win.

The buzz is building on the net and in the streets. Yesterday I watched a group of about 7 DJs argue about who would win if 50 Cent and Lil' Wayne went toe to toe for about 2hrs. And at the end of the day we came up with this; hip-hop would win.

The Bayou Classic went down this weekend. And I'm sad to say we got our ass kicked 29 -14. Grambling beat Southern and I'm sure E-40 is somewhere smiling right now. The Bayou Classic is probably one of the biggest if not the biggest game in Black College football. Everybody says that but this ones been rolling for 35yrs strong. To say it's a grudge match is a major understatement. Here are the highlights to catch you up.
