Wow, so where do I start. Well the Dirty Awards went down this year and this being the Internet you all know the story by now. And I know you looking for the scoop, but let's just say I see, speak, and hear no evil. First our prayers go out to both the Grand Hustle family and the D4L family. I get down with all these dudes and just like the Mike Jones/Trae situation there is no winner in a situation like this. I really wish they could have just meet up in an alley and got it on so that it could be finished. The Dirty Awards is a pretty well planned event and this year was no different. I guess I'll take this time out also to warn future award shows of what they can do to prevent this in the future.

1) The DJ knows all. The atmosphere in the building was heating up as each Shawty Lo song dropped. The DJ of any event can always tell you when the smoke is big enough to say fire.

2) When 2 camps got an A on they chest, usually it won't be the main guys that kick it off, so just because everything look cool, it ain't. Only the DJ or an experience nightlife guy can really tell you if every thing's cool.

3) When you think there is a problem with keeping things calm, just turn the lights on and play soft music loud preferably classical or jazz something with strings to sooth the soul. It works try it, it sends everyone into a light shock. Just enough to get security dispersed deeper in the venue.

4) I'll say it one more time. The house DJ is the most important person in ALL hip-hop award shows. He or she can save you a lot of trouble if you allow them to do what they do.

5) Real tough talking security guards don't do sh*t. Most of the time we see straight through these dudes. You wasting money. You need your best communicators on the front lines and the heavy hands playing the side to catch people off guard if needed. Like a pulling guard in football. The more muscle you bring in the front, the more it becomes a challenge to make it past him for that classic club swing.

6) And last but not least, more beautiful ladies need to be in the piece. When you have 80 guys to every 20 ladies, its like national geographic. Naturally males compete for attention. So even if you got to let a lot of ladies in free, it is what it is. The ladies bring a calm to us like no other.

Big Kuntry King

To be honest there was no reason to arrest Kuntry King. But when the two security guys realize they weren't enough to hold him back then the po po just did they thing. Hopefully he gets off scott free as I think they arrested Kuntry as a preventive measure because he was a really amped and moving forward but never caused harm to anyone. What are you talking about I didn't see that part?

Ahhh the classic pepper spray to the face. This was ridiculous. Pepper Spray inside the event. It was not that serious. Hey maybe it's me but any club security could have handled this better.

Alfa back and forth to the officers. I have no idea what he's saying, but that look on his face just lets ya know he really hadn't even crank it up yet. We just getting started in this beeeeshhh.

All and all the Awards was a success. One fight does not spoil an entire evening. I am hoping that no one was on probation. Sometimes things like this happen. Let's pray it does not spill over into lives being lost in the future. This is to everyone in hip-hop, Mane keep the police out of your business. Everybody talk the gangsta talk but there are to many cameras out there to try and live up the hype. This is 2009 and cameras are everywhere. We've got to communicate better. Or organize our fights a whole lot better. But something gotta shift or otherwise we will continue to see our homies locked up and shoot over some bullsh*t.

Well while Atlanta gets their sh*t together. H-town is one step ahead. The Box pulled off the unthinkable the other day. I apologize to the readers for not having faster or better coverage but i got you in '09. Mike Jones, Trae, the Botany Boys, Lil' Keke, Scarface, Bun B, Slim Thug, ESG, Chamillionare, Z-Ro and Lil' Flip just to name a few. This was the healing that Texas needed.

Now if the Box, Brandi G., Mad Hater, Walter D, Def Jam Blaster, and the gang can now just unite Texas as a whole. That would be crazy for the future. Look at the music scene. Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and all the smaller areas. One more thing that would help the Texas movement is to start using more Texas based producers to push big time Texas artists. Like really, we want to hear Texas. Put it in they face Texas. Don't hold back, bring the sound in like y'all did last time and this time drop anchor and keep the hits coming. The minute y'all went outside of the Texas sound, it was cool but the magic was gone. The magic lies in the soul of Texas. The bluezy like history of Texas Music History cannot be ignored. MTV was there which was huge, and here's what Sim and Z-Ro had to say.

"This is our biggest event of the year," Slim Thug explained. "Usually we have artists from all over the country come down and perform. This year, it's all Houston and a few Dallas artists, and it's sold out. This is the biggest turnout they ever had."

"It's intoxicating, it's like one of them things rolled up burning," said Z-Ro, who was the undeniable crowd favorite of the night. "Z-Ro, Zeeee-rooooo," the crowd started chanting an hour before he came on.
