What Role Does Hip-Hop Play In American Politics? Bow Wow and The Game Battle For Konsole King!

This picture of Bun B at the Democratic National Convention says a lot. The greatest thing about hip-hop to me is the right of expression. The expectation that you will have a chance to express your views, regardless of if you're right or wrong. The true independence and relentlessness of hip-hop, is something most people don't see because we look at the personal achievements or failures of artist. However, overall progress is here.
T.I.P. is a great example. Like him or not he's doing a lot for hip-hop right now with his situation all bullshit aside. He made his own choices and is enduring his personal storm with his head high. Which is exactly the type of attitudes we need from every young black male in this country. Too many of them give up because of what society and the media says about them after they have made a couple poor choices. Imagine if the same people that are by T.I.P.'s side were by DMX's.
Where are all the hip-hop lovers now. The man went platinum twice in one year. None of you have done that. And now you don't know him. Now you sit back and watch your fellow brother and laugh to your friends. Yet you announce how rich you are and thank hip-hop and all that and how much, blah blah blah yall n*gga full of sh*t. (I'll cover that another day, that's another topic.) Sorry but I'm serious DMX hold ya head up and know that ya going get through this sh*t because you can handle it.
This is that Geto Boys spirit of true gangsta sh*t when you want to know everything about everything so you can control your own future for real. Note to all Gangsta rappers. If you are wondering how to take it to the next level after you have killed everybody in your neighborhood in your first 2 albums then you should try reading the principles of the Black Panther Party and start talking and watch how gangsta shit gets. Or just keep saying the same sh*t over and over your choice. There have been corporate pawns in our midst for years. It's just becoming obvious now. Just like the Jesse Jacksons of the world things are lining up where just because you're black doesn't guarantee anything. You still gotta prove to the people that you are about making a difference, immediately. Obama is right behind him, it won't take long. All we owe you is respect as a man. Other than that show me the change. We wanna see it. Education in this country should shape up and it shouldn't take ten years. Poverty should be taken care of. We have a surplus of sh*t in this country we are just being mislead.
On a lighter note. Game and Bow Wow are set for battle. The good people over at Konsole Kingz have set the stage as these two have been on the Internet at each other about their Madden skills. Well now the stage is set so let the countdown began.http://www.bowwowvsthegame.com/
