Jezzy's Recession is four days away and the pots boiling. Here's the new video for "Vacation," which we all need.
Monique has done a lot of positive things for black women and especially the thick sistas. She comes off over the years as a down home auntie that I think a lot of us identify with. The media is a strange beast, and rarely do we ever get put on blast for the crazy sh*t we do and say about people. The great thing about the Internet is the fact that we can change the media. Nas coming out against Fox was great but now how do we follow up to help his efforts. Hip-Hop is changing the media little by little and hopefully we can take it to the next level. You know, to the point where we can see it affect us in a positive manner everyday.
Here Monique interviews this guy Fred from Media Takeout.
She expresses a point that I think we all can feel. She states that the coverage that Media Takeout gives us is not from a place of love. We know they are an online tabloid, but the bigger question is, where are the sites that keep it positive. I try and watch myself because there is so much negative on the Internet that I really want no part in it. Real life is enough for me. But that's what people like to see, some say.
How do you feel about it? We all laugh at each other. And then when it's your friend being caught up in some bullsh*t then it's like 'oh damn'. So how will we handle celebrity gossip in the future? The Internet is making way more easier for people to get at each other, so the scene is getting crazier by the minute. Do you think we will be able to govern ourselves? Or do we put too much emphasis on being black and what we need to do?

Exactly, we put to much emphasis on being black and what we need to do! We need to stop. We dont ever see any other race do this. But you will not see any positive web sites because no one likes to her about positivity or something that basically is not juicy to listen too. Humans talk about each other by nature, whether its good or bad. In conclusion, if you are in the public's eye, then you are going to be talked about, whether good or bad. So get over it. You knew this before getting into the biz, so why is it a different story now. 99.9% of the people in the public's eye, wished to be their and didn't care if people talked about them or not before they made it. Now that they made it, everthing is a different story.
If I was awaiting an indictment on federal drug charges I'd take a vacation too.
Jeezy will be in jail this time next year. Borrowing soap and cigs from Meech.
Fk "Trapstars". Straight up.
If you really have to listen to this bullsht record, you can get it for free on numerous sites. It leaked weeks ago. My little nephew already downloaded it, burned it to disc, lost it and downloaded it again. In the words of Jeezy: never pay retail. SMH.
p.s. Monique is "positively" an embarassment. She sets Black women back two steps every time she takes a movie role.
"Or do we put too much emphasis on being black and what we need to do?"
How can you ever put too much emphasis on doing the right thing? It's commendable that the black race is always questioning ourselves and striving to be better, regardless if any other races do it. While doing what is right might not be profitable or popular in this day and age, striving to better ourselves is its on reward. The attitude that it is ok to do something as long as it makes you money is what is driving the downward spiral of America. People need to have morals, a code of conduct that doesn't fall by the way-side depending on the situation.
yeah you right monique but may be if you stop taking roles like soul plane sterotyping our people as money loving. sex crave, drug taking. idiots maybe everytime a blaCK PERSON FUCKs up inthe meadia they would not be there to laugh at us and think we are fools cause movies like that dont help what they already think of us. roles like that show us as fools making an ass of ourselves so guess what thats what they thinking too give the media something positive report about us then talk....
