Well well well, its that time of year again. It's the biggest grass roots, home grown event in Southern hip-hop. The Ozone Awards and TJ's DJs Tastemakers Conference. Julia Beverly and TJ have both grown right before our eyes. It's one thing when you get a great idea, got a bunch of sponsorship money at your disposal and create an event based on your job. It's entirely different when you start from the bottom and work your way up dollar for dollar to build a respected empire of your own. This is what the South has always stood for--Independence.

That Master P, J Prince, "f*ck you we can do it ourself" mentality. "Family reunion" are the best words I can think of to describe this event.

TJ has been a staple in the south since way back when it was just him and the crew at the record store in Tallahassee, FL. Julia Beverly has been up and down the highway snaping pictures and writing stories on your favorite artist well before any of the other magazines thought about covering them. Together they have put together what is and will always be the biggest hip-hop gathering in the south the. The Ozone Awards and TJ's DJs Tastemakers Conference.

And do me a favor, fix your dam face. Yeah I said it, the Biggest! You know why, because they did it from the ground up. Just like Rap-A-Lot, Cash Money, Slip n Slide, etc. They took their losses to the chest and still independently kept pushing forward. This is why I say the biggest, because if you take away Ozone or TJ from the southern equation without a doubt the south would not be the same right now.

Congrats to everyone down with both camps. As I said before I know we all feel like we are Ozone, we are TJ's DJs. This year they have moved the event to Houston which means it's really going to go down in a major way. Expect to see everybody swangin and bangin in there best this weekend. And of course we will have pics and video to recap because if you know like I know, every year is full of surprises one way or another.

THE SOUTH HAS ALWAYS STOOD FOR INDEPENDENCE?? REALLY? UR THE FU*CKIN WORST

How does a white opportunist host a "family reunion" for Southern Hip-Hop??

Negros dont care who is throwing the party, so long as there is drugs, women and a place to park their weak ass DONK. (read: place to wear your fake jacob watch parking lot pimp)

Julia Beverly is a fucking Culture Vulture who who showcases part-time dope dealers with part-time MC skills in her "magazine for the functionally illiterate". She might as well sell as space in the back for Bailsbondmen and Glad ziploc bags.

Black People that support Julia = Clowns
Ozone Magazine = Circus

....Niggaz never gonna learn.... this shit is WHACK!! White folk throwin' a coon reunion... And these dumb asses will be runnin' 2 see this shit... WHACK!! "drugs, whore's, Tall White T-Shirts, trashy ass looking cars...especially in HOUSTON..., Jewelery thats bullshit, Nothing positive, nothing supporting the new youth thats coming up with this dumb bullshit... Like they got a big Company Banquet... Talking about how much money they invested in a community or school to help the youth.... THIS SHIT SUCKS ASS!!!! FUCK THE OZONE AWARDS!!

Put together a Magazine and do a better award show if thats the problem.
Nothing is stopping anyone from doing their own venue.
You invest your own money and give back to the community, nobody's stopping you. But I know it's easier to critize from the sideline right.
Too much gum bumpin and hatin. Either stand up and be counted or lay you punk ass down and get mounted. Stop looking to rappers and look to yourself.
DOWN SOUTH, TEXAS 4 LIFE, I SEE YOU HATER.

I don't care how much money Julia is paying a sellout to defend her wack, racist *ss! The b*tch is a racist and sucks! Her magazine is horrid and sloppy! She exploits black people and is fake as h*ll!
