I'm looking at a bunch of internet commentary on Soulja Boy meeting with KRS-One and I think its funny how a lot of people will be looking at Soulja Boy differently.

Jezzy's Recession is four days away and the pots boiling. Here's the new video for "Vacation," which we all need.
Ok I've got a pretty good idea, but I wanna know what you ladies and gents think. You know how we always have the unbalance channels pumping the same music over and over. What can we do about it? The rating system obviously doesn't get to us. And when I say us, I mean real everyday people. Like, when is the last time you did a survey for your local radio station or music channel? Here's what I propose:
Just when you thought it was safe, T-Wayne erupts. Man, T-Pain really went all out on the animation. This some Michael Jackson ish. A laid back song that makes you fall into the circus world presented by the Ringmaster. Really words will just cheapen the experience so just watch the video and tell me what you think.
I wonder if we'll ever get to that point, where sales don't matter as much general respect for art? Where there is a variety of hip-hop to choose from. Where we can have hip-hop for the kids and the adults. Wait a minute we're already there.
David Banner is always passing by schools and such. The kids of Watts got a surprise the other day when guess who pops up to talk with them. Yes sir David Banner. His current project The Greatest Story Ever Told is on currently rocking the charts and is sure to keep moving. Glasses Malone and some other Cali rappers were also there. Check it out:
Hurricane Katrina happened in 2005 and years later New Orleans is still pushing to reorganize the city. We have lots of work still to be done when it comes to the political bullsh*t that jams our people up from returning to a city that has truly taken care of its debt with the people.
What up. Plies has to have the most efficiently run viral web campaign. For all the hate that he gets at times you have to wonder. What the f*ck are these people talking about? Dude came out with a well-balanced campaign. He has a lot of D-Boy songs and definitely some songs to make the lady next to ya wet. Here is one of the next ones to leave a stain on your brain.
Since Florida got so much going on right now I figure I'll just send a tribute out there to one of the Dirty South pioneers. Before there was Uncle Luke there was Uncle Al. Albert Moss known to the world as Uncle Al was known for being one of the first if not the first to speed up the music Miami style.

B.G. has been on the grind real tough lately. While gearing up for his next release he also has been pushing the second Chopper City Boyz album. I caught up wit him for a quick Q & A just to see what's going on. The homey Peter Forest in New Orleans also came through with a few flicks from the new Chopper City Boyz video. Check it out.
Ok the 2008 Ozone Awards went down. All and all the entire weekend went pretty smooth. There were a few hang ups, but for anyone who had their stuff together it was worth it. The networking was 24/7. Here's Part II of my recap:

What up. I'm still at the Ozone Awards/TJ's DJ's conference and all goes well thus far.
Soulja Boy steps into CEO role pretty quickly. The beautiful thing about this is it shows the rest of the movement that goes along with what makes Soulja Boy relevant and key to this dance movement. Check out behind the scenes of the new video.
This one is for therealjaydab. This is my favorite song right now and it should be obvious why.
SOHH when I posted the Ozone Awards yesterday I never would have thought the comments would have came out like this. I lie, I love it, I f*ckin love it. Fame, TheSponsor, and therealjaydab today you three are my motivation. I feel like Jezzy on that Rocko "Umma Do Me Remix" Let's Go!
Well well well, its that time of year again. It's the biggest grass roots, home grown event in Southern hip-hop. The Ozone Awards and TJ's DJs Tastemakers Conference. Julia Beverly and TJ have both grown right before our eyes. It's one thing when you get a great idea, got a bunch of sponsorship money at your disposal and create an event based on your job. It's entirely different when you start from the bottom and work your way up dollar for dollar to build a respected empire of your own. This is what the South has always stood for--Independence.
Thank God it's Friday. Man ya'll look out, a lot of people are getting sick down here and you know I have my thoughts about the government and why. But instead of ranting on that I'll just say watch out and keep them vitamins handy. SOHH it's official the BG's new single "Ya Heard Me," feat. Trey Songs will be the first official video of a Hot Boys Reunion. I'll have some pics and possible video of the behind the scenes next week. Until then I got my Top 5.
