But yeah he could not understand and was borderline pissed off. Had the nerve to say something in the lane of it ain't hip-hop they doing. I was laughing my ass off of course because this discussion is so old. But never the less I'll address it on here because I'm quite sure if he feels like that there are a few more blind people that agree.
Way before songs like "Zoom," featuring Young Joc, or "I Ain't Got Nothing" alongside David Banner, Lil' Boosie was traveling in the underground circuit. Before "Wipe Me Down," well before you ever knew who he was. Even before he was with Trill he was with Concentration Camp. His music has been up and down the highway well before it was on radio or TV. So there's a hustle and grind that must be put in before promoters will keep investing in you consistently. Trill has built a fan base sorta like Cash Money did back in the 90's. So when Webbie came through he gave the people what they wanted. A nationwide single without going outside of his personality and an album filled with ghetto anthems.
Now I don't want to make this all about Boosie and Webbie but I'm using them as examples because that's what came out of the jackass's mouth. So let's broaden the topic and just say entertainers' period. Because the same thing goes for singers out there like Magnolia Chop, and Charlie Boy, or all the chitlin circuit comedians. The hood as we call it is nothing but a group of people who have not had the best starting points at which to grab life for what it is and live the fullest of what the world has to offer. There is poor communication from the state, city, and the worst government ever. The help that is extended comes with all types of physiological bullshit attach to every government check, food stamp, and every other program out there today. Middleclass folks in this country are no different. If you knew the true cost of healthy food, your car, and your home, you probably would up and try to kill yourself. Only because the price put on all these things over time create stress to one's simple life. No throw in a medical system that has been brainwashed to aid death and stress also. You think that my grandmother, father, and older relatives were supposed to die before reaching 90 years old. If you read those books they gave you, yes. Stress brah Stress.
These artist are senators that represent the struggle. The club that you scared to go to, they live in it. The people you dare not stay in contact with they love them. The problems you care not to address they deal with them. So whenever someone like Tech 9, Keak da Sneak, Esham, or any artist that comes from the ground up stays relevant for over 8yrs then you know it ain't the internet, they ain't hot, it ain't radio, it ain't TV. It's what America created. Stress relievers for everyone dealing with everything coming their way in the form of death, sex, drugs, paranoia, and evil.
These artists you will never be like and you need to just accept it. You can never compare unless you address these topics consistently. And it has nothing to do with being poor. There's a reason they don't want you to hear Ice Cube. There's a reason they don't want you to hear Killer Mike or DMX. There's a reason C Murder ain't been invited to speak or get interviewed by BET about his relentless literacy campaign. There's a reason they don't want you to hear Boosie's "You Don't Know My Struggle". There's a reason Webbie song "Miracle" isn't bumping on your radio all day. Because once we realize we are a miracle and rise, there ain't no turning back. Does Bun B have to change clothes to get you to understand? Nah brah we here. You think we ballin now. You dumb ass, I could say so much more but I want to keep this bloging sh*t going and I could just set it off in this B*tch…but I digress.
I got a plan and places like the Midwest we hear ya loud and clear, Arkansas we see ya, Alabama we see ya, Oklahoma we see ya, Kentucky we see ya. In the words of Mystical and Young Joc, "you can't stop me, so bitch don't try!" It's going down. Point blank period. Poverty is what causes crime. Not the white T's or rims or gold fronts or drugs. Now crack do mess shit up, but weed and coke, man check the White House and tell me what you see.
I know this blog was all over the place but so is your life so you get my drift. And to these hating rappers mad at the next man for being relevant, really check yourself before you wreck someone's life. Do U.
P.S. I tried to wrap it up along time ago, anyway to those that will say some of this is contradicting itself that's the American life. Just like that word democracy that they throw at you, we live in a republic u dummy; they just use the word democracy because it's easier to throw you off with.

Lil Webbie & Lil Boosie are pure garbage just like that lame a** names they have. The niggaz rhyme & talk like runaway slaves with down syndrome. THESE NIGGAZ ARE FAR FROM HIP-HOP!!!!!!!!!
Can't forget the songs like "What About Me"......One of Boosie's Classic Joints!
What I have always loved about rap/hiphop is hearing a new artist and following their careers before they get hot...with that being said, believe it or not there are artists that make money well before they make a splash on the national radar or TV..Boosie & Webbie are a great example! There was a time not too long ago when you could not get a Boosie & Webbie CD unless 1) you got it directly from them or 2) you got it from the bootleg man!! Plies is the same way.....these artists got out was doing shows all over they own state, built a bigger buzz, and just got more and more popular state by state show by show, really gettin down with the "people" and handcrafting their fanbase...check out Lil Boosie Mixtape 4 My Thugs, check out that Gangsta Muzik w/ Boosie and Webbie...They have been puttin in work for years...YEARS!!!
I don't know when it became cool to be a hater but do some research...you might not like an artists music but you gotta respect they grind !! Boosie and Webbie will always be able to make $$$$ because they started from the underground and even after they got national attention and fame they didn't forget the fans that helped them get there....and if you listen to their musical catalogue (yeah they gotta sh*tload of songs) you will definately hear more diversity in subject matter than 99% of these commercial rappers...underground artists make music that fans don't just listen to 4 a hot 16 or a damn punchline they make music we live to!!
@ Badnewzbully "what do you call hip-hop??" and is the TV and radio your only source for music?? How long you been down with "hip-hop" anyways??
Poverty does not cause crime, there is not a statistical relationship there. Repeat: poverty does not cause crime, BUT crime can cause an area to become impovershed when people and businesses move out because of it.
No one is absolutely sure of the problem, but I like to take it from many sources. The lack of fathers is most likely one: How come mothers can not receive goverment assitance with their baby's father living and working in the house and raising the kids? That seems unfair and it actually encourages the seperation of families, especially in an economically deprived area where a welfare check might be a better bread winner than the father. However a welfare check can't be a dad. There are also a ton of other shit going on, like a lack of trust in police departments by the community (often for good reason), and the police need the community to fight crime. How about the War on Drugs which is probably biggest racist institution in America? How come drug dealers are punished harshly for a non-violent action, and drug users are okay? Especially when you consider 74% of drug users are white?
Yall should check out LEAP which is Law Enforcement Against Prohibition, basically an organization of cops, lawyers, and judges that are fighting to end the War on Drugs because of the horrible effect is has had on our nation.
@ Teddythugpen 99.9% of what we hear on the radio/t.v is NOT hip-hop. Rap City is pure trash now and the same 4 videos they play. Common, Styles P. ,Talib, Nas,Sean Price, Lupe,Little Brother...I could go on, but pointless
@badnewzbully I feel you they are definately hip hop but so is UGK, Eightball&MJG, OUTKAST, Goodie MOB, JEEZY (yes Jeezy is hiphop), Lil Wayne and Hot Boys are hiphop, Scarface and the GetoBoys is hiphop, Devin the Dude, Snoop, Game, E40, Solja Slimm, 2LiveCrew, JT Money, Trick Daddy, can you see where I am going?? Far too many listeners are nothing but regionalized consumers.... I grew up in a military family so I not only took HIPHOP with me but found it everywhere I went....all hip hop doesn't sound like or is "UP NORTH"
I respect the grind..and i do feel some of boosies music because ive read up on him and watched his dvd and he spits about alot of his real like experiances.. thats big for me..his music isnt anywhere close to the type of rap/hiphop that im really into
"Poverty does not cause crime, there is not a statistical relationship ther"
@RealTalkb,
No disrespect dude, but I've had about enough of the fake facts you're always spitting. I've read at least a dozen articles and research papers that say the exact opposite of what you're saying.
Spitting fake knowledge often makes you appear to be intelligent. However, if you ever get called on it, it makes you look like a complete fraud.
you forgot about DEVIN the DUDE
