Soulja Boy Cranks That New Shoe Line! 5th Ward Boys and Playa Fly!

Yes we are in a new era in hip-hop and for a lot of you it will be quite painful. If you're feeling Ice T'ish then you will definitely not like this. The guy who killed hip-hop is now making it bigger by not doing a shoe deal with the big companies that you would love for him to run up under. Nah he went out and found a company based outta Dallas and it's on.
Tum Tum also has a deal with them so they making good moves over there at Yums. Howard Morton aka Tex and John McDade are the two guys behind yums so look out for there future moves in the apparel industry D-town Style.

And just to update on the recent comments by Uncle T, Soulja Boy responds. Check out the second part about halfway threw this video you can see the Soulja Boy I got to know in past interviews.
The 17 year old, who really just got on his grind and came up with a creative pop culture hit. The kid who was living with his mom, and just had bigger dreams for his family. I'm basically saying this kid will be here longer than you think. I see it and I think you will to because you can tell he is offended by the Ice T comments but understands this is just what comes with the game.

I love real hip hop. I'm a early 90's hip hop kind a dude but cat's need to cut Soulja Boy some slack. I don't even see him as a rapper, at this point in his career, but he's an entertainer. A kid making music for kids. He ain't make music for us cats that want to hear real hip hop. He ain't out here spewing to much negativity either in the songs I have heard (I haven't heard his whole album...) Then on top of that he's enterprising, marketing, branding now. I see adult rappers who haven't figured out how to do this yet. Cut him some slack and let him make this music for his age group..at some point he'll have to develop as a rapper though to continue shining and I want to see what happens......

As usual, constant hatin...How many of you have your own shoes? This young man created a marketing strategy with the Internet, owns his masters (unlike most of the artists you "love" so much), and constructed his own beats....Soulja Boy obviously has a fan base and technically, most artists only get 15 minutes of fame unless you elevate to legendary and that's not the typical artist in any genre of music. It's ironic, I never hear rock fans or older rock artists complain about Limp Bizkit "killed" rock music, or Miley Cyrus / Hannah Montana killed pop music, but everytime a different facet of hip hop is presented, you complaining *@%$$s start whining.....Crabs in a barrel mentality at its best!!!
