DJ Spotlight: DJ Aaries The Newest Face Of The Rocawear "I Will Not Lose" campaign! Who's your favorite DJ?

He’s been on BET’s Rap City several times this year. Has his own TV show HOOD HARD TV (that goes out in 7 states) to help indie artist get exposure. Born in Harlem and raised in St. Matthews/ O’burg South Carolina. And now he’s one of the new faces of the ROC-A-WEAR “I Will Not Lose” campaign.

DJ Aaries also started the Hood Hard Movement that’s been growing rapidly in the south. This year Hood Hard will be in Charlotte, North Carolina. Be on the look out because the Carolinas have been jammin for a while now and it’s only a matter of time before another Petey Pablo burst onto the scene (Damn, where’s Petey?).

So every once in a while we will be shining the spotlight on DJ’s. I don’t care how much you scream your name on your mixtape! That means nothing. This will be about the DJs who actually separate themselves from the pack. And this leads me to ask. Who are some of the DJs that you feel get overlooked? Like we know about the legendary DJs from up top. But who are the Southern Pioneers when it comes to DJs? Who stands out in your area? Who brings new heat everytime you hear them? Who plays the same playlist as the radio and tries to pretend as if you don’t know that song is not new?
