Death Of The DJ

Well how else could I have put it? When is the last time you went to a show and saw a complete show." Man I don't need no DJ, I brought my iPod" one rapper said at a show recently. When is the last time you heard about this new DJ you had to check out for yourself because of how he kept the party rolling? Or should we just assume that the impact of DJs now will only be felt through mixtape branding.

Say Hello to DTP's latest weapon of choice.

Big Willy's mixtape is solid. He really comes off as a fresh voice who has something to say. Arizona been holding back for a minute and Willy may be the one to pop it off for them. Don't take my word for it, find out for yourself. Don't eva, eva, eva say we didn't give y'all nothing for free over here at the dirty square.

I was back home at the family cookout and was bombarded with questions about everything hip-hop. The latest rap beefs. Who's dating who? How much money such and such got? Who's a fudgepacker? Who's under appreciated? Blah Blah Blah. And then I though about it. None of these people asking these questions were concerned about "those darn rappers" before. So why now?

Female Rappers Wanted! Or Not?

Female artist don't sell records. This is what they tell us.Yet I was wondering when was the last time you saw a label truly try to promote a female rapper. Are the labels simply saying they give up. Like forever, ever, ever.

Ok ok calm down damnit. I love this thing we call hip-hop because it is as diverse as the universe itself. We laugh , we dance, we cry, we fight, we smoke, we drank, we suppose to stop but we can't. We are beautiful people and the variety is what makes us. Ok, now enough with the nice nice, this is going to sound stupid to some, yet some of you will get it. Who made a bigger impact on the culture? Slim or Tellem? Don't say sh*t to me internet thug, just express what their impact was.

Please Press Play and listen while you read, you'll like it.

I had to do it for the people mane. And as you can clearly see in the comments plenty people agree. Some disagree and I thank you for your thoughts. You see this Dirty section up here for a reason and Andre 3000 tried to tell yall that at the source awards a wayz back. Some of you get it, while others still caught up in mastaz trap. We go at each other so hard not realizing that it's in the plan to keep us separate. And whats worst is these fools get paid to do it. When we all going threw the same shit. Bun represents Hip Hop to the fullest and the only way you don't get it is if you don't listen.

Who can debate it? What can you say? Before you speak, have you listened to the catalog? Then Shut the f*ck up. Have you listened to the lyrics? Have you ever read his interviews? One of the most intelligent dudes you will ever meet in this music industry. The definition of Trill.

This is a case of your rappers favorite rapper. If you don't have this mxtape then catch up because it's burnin up the streets. Fiend is one of those rappers that you can listen to, song after song, and never hear the same old shit.

The culture of hip-hop moves so fast at times we rarely take notice to how much we change, evolve, yet stay the same. I couldn't help but feel proud the day I heard "We the Best" being screamed as we saw some of the best representers of hip-hop all on one track. Nothing new to hip-hop yet when this is done it sends a signal to all of the world that WE, I repeat WE are one big crew that represent hip-hop. What are your favorite songs with 3 or more rappers on them? And who would you really like to see on one song together?

Its a dirty dirty world that we live in. And I don't care how many records you've sold or will sell, your soul ain't safe. Everybody in this rap game that claims to be a thug, gangsta, d-boy, and such. You hear them all the time trying to refer to themselves as "like Pac" . Or in their first interviews coming into the game they talkin bout, you know ( I love it when they say u know 80 times) I represent that real sh*t, that Pac sh*t, or they want you to have the same admiration for them like we have for Pac, or they feel like because they got shot a couple times, all of a sudden they as real as Pac. And I respect their "feelings".

He’s been on BET’s Rap City several times this year. Has his own TV show HOOD HARD TV (that goes out in 7 states) to help indie artist get exposure. Born in Harlem and raised in St. Matthews/ O’burg South Carolina. And now he’s one of the new faces of the ROC-A-WEAR “I Will Not Lose” campaign.

Florida is on fire right now. One of there premiere artist looks as if he's really about to get that nationwide push. If you have a copy of that classic DJ Drama mixtape "Indictment Papers" then you know Blood Raw definitely will be one of those rappers who won't have to fake his lifestyle for you believe in him.
