I know its been a minute but I've been on the road since Thursday night and finally just got wireless access to my laptop this morning. I've been of course at the SEA's 08 show in Tunica, MS. Heres a quick list of some of the winners and I'll tell you I've got alot of stuff to share soon as I can get more than a few minutes on my laptop which should be in a couple days hopefully.
I ran into people like XVII, Bankroll Jones, Pimpin Ken, Gorilla Zoe, Serious, Greg Gates, UGK Records, Michael Watts, Yung Texxus, Spark Dawg and more of the Green City squad. There were also plenty of up and coming indie artists that have given me music that I hope to start listening to soon. I've got some pics and video as well here and my site.

By looking at the picture, I thought the topic was about a hip hop version of the Wizard of Oz. I don't know if that's T-pain of lil Wayne in the picture, but either way, whoever it is, they look like a gay scarecrow.
Man is born free but eventually consumed by the chains of responiblitiy. Hip hop is one of those chains taht hold people back and is a destructive force in the black community. It must b done away w/ cuz the youth r being destroyed in our streets. How is it that the black man is always the target of rage? Why is he always under attack by outsiders? The reason is bcuz black people do not love themselves. They hate each other w/ a passion. Hate is one of the most destructive forces on the face of the earth. It causes my people to fall. Hip hop is causing a tear in the black commuity. No one cares because it is not affecting them but when the pressure is on the brothers and sisters of tommorrow r reaching out for love. Where is the love at? It is too easy to hate people cuz they are from a different geographical region. As long as this continues hip hop will b the leading cause of division. BAN HIP HOP NOW!

Yo, the SEA's is fake ass hell. The only people who get awards are people who sponsor. Last year was the worst. How the hell did SERIUS get a damn award. Oh I forgot, the host of last year's show was her MANAGER.

Nominations for 09 SEAs kick off on May 1st. No sponsor or money needed to win or be nominated....The SEA staff does not select the nominees, nor tell people who to nominate...so if you dont like something then please nominate someone....but 9 times out of 10 the person who complains doesnt nominate...
People r quick to have compliants and issues, but slow offer suggestions or help resolve them. Its all music, some good and some bad, if youre tired of bad, offer something good.
