Whats up again people. You already maybe know I caught up with my people in Dallas from the RudeBwoy camp a short time ago. If you dont recognize that name you might recognize the name of the song and the dance thats starting to blow up in the south. It's 'My Dougie' done by none other than Lil Wil. Well I caught a little live video of a "Dougie" performance for a radio event recently and thought I'd share it with you. Check out my man Teflon in the yellow showing you his Dougie near the end and of course Lil Spain acting a fool.
follow the break for a little more news.
I know its been a minute but I've been on the road since Thursday night and finally just got wireless access to my laptop this morning. I've been of course at the SEA's 08 show in Tunica, MS. Heres a quick list of some of the winners and I'll tell you I've got alot of stuff to share soon as I can get more than a few minutes on my laptop which should be in a couple days hopefully.
I ran into people like XVII, Bankroll Jones, Pimpin Ken, Gorilla Zoe, Serious, Greg Gates, UGK Records, Michael Watts, Yung Texxus, Spark Dawg and more of the Green City squad. There were also plenty of up and coming indie artists that have given me music that I hope to start listening to soon. I've got some pics and video as well here and my site.
Here's a little preview of some of the winners from early on in the weekend.

I thought you all might be interested in the final column that Pimp C submitted before he passed away. You know the man always had something interesting to say, so here's an image of the article and you can click to enlarge and then try to read it. Feel free to comment on what he's got to say and anything else about it in general.

DigiPimp - It's Still Me Trill In the South
So this is something that I was wondering this weekend. I spend a lot of time in Dallas as you already know when you read this. Sure I spotlight Dallas artists because I know alot of Dallas people, but there are plenty of others in the south that I'm open to. I want you to tell me what city has next and why. Then I'll follow up and see if you're right and maybe drop my opinion on you.
So tell me what city you feel has got next in the south and why. Who's about to blow up in your locale and go nationwide? Who's got the hottest local single and what is it? Put me onto something that I might not know about and then I'll check it out and see if it's worth writing something about.
I found this recent video on MTV News where Bun B is talking about life after Pimp C. He's busy in the studio right now trying to put in work on his second solo release and I'm sure it won't be without content remembering Pimp. I'm already saying this album is going to be a must buy, so listen to the clip and let the world know what you think. R.I.P Pimp.
I know we got some real UGK fans around here, some Bun B fans and we're all still going to keep saying RIP Pimp C. Well here's a new track from the work that Bun has been doing in the studio. It's titled 'That's Gangsta' and features Sean Kingston (can't say that I'm a fan of his) and its brand new. I don't know if you've heard it or not, but I thought I would drop it on all of you today and you can tell me how you feel.
Alright so I wasnt going to post it but I just cant help it. The Dallas Cowgirls had their best season ever and then lost in the playoffs. Yeah this isnt about music, but watching TO cry is just too much fun so Im going to go ahead and let you all get it out once and for all.
I just hear it so much, is this guy really the best there is in the game? Is he the best there is in the south? Everyday its another rumor about him, every week it's another mixtape track that's floating around? Who is really fueling the hype and who crowned him already? Check out this little MTV News video where he drops a few bars from his upcoming LP, and really tell me is this as good as it gets in the game these days?
Well it seems like it's been more than a minute right now that the Mike Jones 'Drop & Gimme 50' video was supposed to be coming, and it's finally here. It was an interesting year last year for Mr. Jones and 2008 is going to prove to be a critical to his career with a new LP dropping and already a video for his first single in the beginning of the year. So peep the video and let the world know how you feel!
You know to tell you the truth there isn't a whole lot happening that that's current that I cared to talk about today but I've got some stuff coming real soon. I thought it was time to have a throwback video day and what better than a Throwback Thursday! So I'll start it off with some old school Houston since this used to be the spot for that and they were huge in the start of the South movement.
Remember this old sh!t?
continue into the break
What's with Soulja Boy these days and rumors of him taking tracks and things and making them his own? Did he steal the Soulja Boy track? What about the "Dougie" dance? Well it appears that Lil Spain was quick to help Lil Will clear things up with Soulja Boy and they even threw together a little video of him learning to do his own "Dougie." It's good to see things were worked out with a remix instead of beef, and you can peep the video right now. I know there will be plenty of hate about this one, so have at it!
Oh yeah it's time to get another free mixtape download working in here. This one has plenty of Texas sh!t on it, some new remixes and the Chamillionaire 18 minute Texas extended "Wont Let You Down" track. You can get a free download thanks to DJ Grind, so check it out and comment back. Click the pic to download it.

Now follow the break to check out some pics that I did at a small club in East Texas Saturday night.

I thought I would throw out a little spotlight to the man Young Ralph today. I know I liked his 'Smell Like Money' track but he's come back with something new already. It's called 'I Work Hard' and between it and his first track it's almost like night and day. So check out the new track and let everyone know what you think.
Follow in after the break.........
So as I mentioned I would be at Rhythm City on New Years Eve and I definitely did that. I thought I would share with you the photos from the night. Here's just one to start it off and you can click the image to go and view the whole gallery.

So if you like what you see then you can continue over and check out my TrillSouth New Years Eve photos.
Continue in after the break for a little southern news on the digital tip.
You know this has been out for a minute, and I'm sure some of you have heard it but I know plenty of you still haven't. It's finally a remix done right. I mean the Lil Keke track "I'm A G" was already pretty strong, if you can manage to listen to Birdman for a few seconds. But it's much better now with a real G like Scarface on the track. Check it out and let everyone know what you think. Hey Keke, where's the album already?

Peep in after the break for a little interesting bit of info.
