Celebrate Pimp C's Life

Posted on December 5, 2007 11:23 AM

So it's official Pimp C is dead, but we're going to mourn with celebration of his life and what he brought to the game. So lets post up our thoughts and experiences, did you meet him, go to a show, did he make you want to get into the game. Remember a video, a time, a place, when you started listening to UGK. Share it all and let people know how you really feel.

Heres a little video that I got of Pimp the only time I met him. I did this on my cellphone because I wasnt even on that TrillSouth shit at the time. I had it on my computer but thought I would put it up last night to show how he was trying to speak the truth to people as he travelled around doing shows, not only rapping, but just speaking on serious issues. I know the video quality sucks, but I also know you've never seen it and its real talk.

You know what! The east cost had there time as well as the west. I love Pac and no doubt Biggie but down here in the south, my man Pimp C.... I love ya bro... Yeah, maybe to yall it's a "South thing" but it's bigger than that...It's a real thing at least a Texas thing... Yeah we have a style that you might not relate to, because you ain't country and you don't completely understand the upbringing of the Texas south. Pimp C and Bun B as well as an army of southern talent tried to tell you stories of how it was growing up HERE in the south. Selling cds out of the back of our rides underground and hoping that someone would acknowledge and understand that there is another point of view of our struggles. Pimp did that taking it to a level that opened doors for the southern movement. Regardless, of what you may think, My man put it down, pure poetry and let the world have it as it had them. I have the up most respect to my entire Texas movement and will let you know where ever you come from, it is about love, lost and trying to stack paper and respect. My Heart goes out to Bernard and Pimp'sFamily, he was an inspiration and a father. Respect the South, this is the New South and a subculture of hip hop and it;s roots from a southern perspective.DJ Dominic from the ATX.....I got love for all my Texas and Southern Born Rappers!!!!!

trill niggas dont die. RIP Pimp

The funeral is starting now for Pimp C.
God bless him, his family, friends and fans.

Chad Butler, peace in the Heaven for Real G's.

With Love, Always,

-Tina
