It's Friday again so it's time to set the weekend off. I know alot of you are still figuring out how to post up a hot event that's going down in your local area but we're going to keep trying til it works. I'll be relaxing but I know some of DFW's K104 will be having a hot little back to school pool party in the metroplex this weekend. Could be worth checking out, even more so if it's adults getting down. Post up your event and let people know where it's going down.
A bit of on the randomness is that UGK stayed in the top 10 on Billboard 200 with a bit over 60,000 more in sales which puts them on pace for gold in 3 weeks and hopefully with some airplay sales will sustain themselves.
I had hoped for a little more for Chingo Bling, he did crack the Billboard 200 but at #123 so get out and support some more southside Houston music, it's actually a pretty good album overall with guests like Fat Pat and Paul Wall.
I talked to Grandaddy Souf the other day on the phone about the Ozone Awards weekend pic of him laid out on the ground and don't believe the rumors because that's not how it really went down. I know lots of gossiping high school girls like to post trash to get people talking, but you hear the facts here.

it puts ugk on pace for 250,000 SCANS in 3 weeks lame. niggaz ain't goin fa dat fake gold shit. these niggaz tryin to pull a gimmick to go platinum. shit i guess if they stuffed 4 cd's in case they would be goin platinum in 3 weeks, gtfoh. they REALITY is they not makin anymore more money than somebody sellin a cd with one cd in the case.

221K sold in two weeks.since it's a double disk LP, that's 442K in the eyes of the RIAA. They'll have a gold plaque by next week if they can sell at least 250K.
I want to see UGK sell 1M, but they only have to sell 500k to get the platinum plaque that they deserve. but in the end, sales don't matter. I got enough music from them the bump for a long time.
and for u dumb ignant niggaz, not that much money is made off of album sales. with 2 disk worth of material, who wouldn't want to go to a UGK concert to see them perform it live. that's where the real money at, tours and concerts.
CHINGO did A LOT better than the numbers say...FUCK the soundscan...90% of the stores that sell Chingos CDS dont have soundscan in their stores anyway cuz their indie shops and believe me these shops do NUMBERS with Chingo CDs so FUCK billboard and soundscan the streets know the damn deal...NUFF SAID...$ TALKS #'s decieve
Bobby drake, Riaa doesnt do that double disc shit anymore. If you put out a double disc, its counted in soundscan as one. So if they sold 221k, they really sold 221k.Ugk will not go plat.They dont have that many fans. Bun B could go plat, but only grimey southern niggas listen to UGk. Ugk going plat is like The Eastsiderz from LBC or Mobb Deep going plat. They dont have enuf fans.

I ain't from the South, and I listen to UGK and bought the album in bEST BUY, good music is good music, Bun and Pimp spitting some real sh*t on there. Disc goes hard all the way till you get to that screwed and chopped ish....that ain't me, the joint with TI goes hard and the extra remix on the end is bannanas. And most importantly them N8ggaz is doing them, they ain't come out and try and sound like nobody but UGK. I respect artist that do them and ain't trying to go with what currently hot or trendy.

UGK did the damn thing. 5 years has gone since their last album. So much material they both wrote that they probably had to do two discs. UGK has never been pushed like other groups have. They've never had more then two singles off of any CD play on the radio or have a video for. I don't care if they got platinum of not. UGK did the damn thing. This is a classic from them. Up there with Ridin Dirty. Much love to them P.A.T boys
